A pop up is a temporary dining event that operates from a home, retail business, existing restaurant, or similar space. A pop up emerges and disappears providing a one of a kind experiences. This specific pop up features locally sourced ingredients and products in order to highlight the vendors in our area making contributions with their hard work. Eating Local is what it's about.
The business address is a personal address because Local Charm's pop up dinners are held at various locations such as The Social Affair in East Troy, Hill Valley Cheese Shop in Lake Geneva and people's private homes. Each public event will have the location listed online.
Once you have read the menu and purchased your ticket, you will arrive at the location of the event at the time allotted. When you arrive, you will be greeted and brought to your table where you will receive your complimentary drink, tonight's menu and ice water. A server will get you additional drinks if you would like. From there the meal will be paced out and served one course at a time with a brief description. At the completion of the meal, you pay your tab and that's it!

We have dined at Local Charm twice now and we have been thoroughly impressed by both the exquisite cuisine and the impeccable dining experience. The menus always showcase a variety of innovative dishes, blending bold flavors, a beautiful presentation, and a passion for amazing food. The owner and chef ensured that our meal was a memorable one, providing excellent introductions with every course and ensuring our satisfaction. I can’t recommend Local Charm enough for a fantastic dining experience.

The pop up dinner with cocktail pairing was not what I was expecting. I’ve been to many dinners in the area (Fork in the Road, Halverson House, Crafted Italia for example) that provide $100/pp dinner and every single one includes a paired wine/cocktail with each course. Also there was no appetizer provided - at this price point all other dinners have had a welcome charcuterie or appetizer upon arriving. My dessert seemed to be a tiny scoop of store bought sherbet and chocolate ice cream - also not what I was expecting from the menu description. I did appreciate the free glass of wine in lieu of the canceled soup course - unfortunate circumstances were communicated well with good humor! Overall, I really was just expecting more for the price - it was not comparable to other local dinners in the area at the same price point.
