Looking for a great place to hang out in the Twin Cities? Join us at Chester Bird for amazing food (online takeout orders available), a full bar, and charitable gambling (Bingo, Pull-Tabs, Tri-Wheel, Meat Raffles, and Virtual Racing). As a nonpartisan, not-for-profit veteran organization, we are able to raise money through charitable gambling in order to give back to Golden Valley, the Twin Cities communities, and other deserving programs. Come for some fun while at the same time helping America's largest veterans service organization - the American Legion! Due to COVID-19 Stay Healthy Minnesota Plan, all guests/members visiting the Chester Bird Bar and Restaurant require reservations. Reservations do not guarantee a table, but fulfill State requirements to COVID tracing and capacity limits. Masks must be worn when not eating or drinking.

No table was reserved for me, if I had not gotten there early, I would not have had a place to sit.
If you're going to have a reservation system, you need to do something with the reservations that are made via that system.

Friendly (covid safe) greeting, prompt service with drink recommendations, drinks were excellent. The special (reuben) outstanding and the pork chops were good also. Much smaller menu than before but plenty of options.

I needed a place to honor Veteran's Day. I stood at the missing soldier table, and learned why the lemon is on the plate. I ordered the Veteran's Day meal, delicious. The VFW post I went to with my Father is gone now, as is my Father, who served in the Philippines, and my brother, who served in Colorado. Thanks for offering me a place to honor.

There reallly should be a waitress. No one had heard about Wed. night bingo stating up. My fish had smaller sized portions and yet it cost more money . The steak sliders were to be med rare came out well done. Is it the regular cook? It will be sometime before we come back. I was there to see and report back to several wed. night bingo regulars.
