So good, the smoked chicken was amazing. Such quick service. The waitress gave us 10% off as we didn’t eat all the beef rendang, it was so nice but we ordered too much and couldn’t finish it! Will definitely be back when we are next in Newcastle!

First time visiting here and certainly when visiting Newcastle again will definitely be on the agenda to visit again.
Food was amazing, my 10 year old absolutely loved it and cannot wait to book again.
Talking point for all 3 of us was the smoked chicken, we wished we stayed closer to visit more often to have this especially but all the food that we had and shared tasted great.
I would highly recommend a visit here you will not be disappointed.

This was my second visit, and was impressed again by the food. Everything was very nicely presented, arrived quickly and the portion sizes were quite generous. My fellow diners and me don't mind a bit of heat in the food, but it's always goood to have less spicy options on the menu, which are still very tasty. Nothing we ordered was too hot or spicy. The service was very friendly and efficient. One suggestion: it may be helpful to have a separate counter by the entrance for food couriers and restaurant customers, to avoid getting the two mixed up.

Everything was great! We come to Chilli Padi often and the service, food and atmosphere is always top-notch.
However, last three times we came to Chilli Padi the servers forgot to bring a bottle of water for the table when we ordered it. We had to remind the servers. Nonetheless, this is a tiny issue and it doesn't bring overall experience down!

1st time to Chilli Padi and i would go back. I am familiar with Malay food having lived there for 5 years. The dishes were excellent. The roti was a nice lighter starter and excellent salted egg chicken. My friend's Tom Yam soup was also very good.
Service was a little slow at first, but then we had a change of waiter and it improved.

Really disappointing service. It took over an hour for us to receive our food and when we finally did, one of the items had the wrong protein. I also ordered a soya milk and was brought a glass of sauvignon blanc, only to be told afterward that soya milk is no longer on the menu! Once our food came out all at once, we were still left waiting for an additional 15 minutes because they'd forgot to make the second plate of salt and chilli chips we had ordered.

Food was lovely but service let it down. We waited a long time to be served, tables came in after us but were served before us so I had to look for a member of staff to take our order. Food then didn’t come out all at once. Two dishes came out about 10 mins before the rest of our meal so they were luke warm when everything came out. Our drinks also arrived after our food. I haven’t been to the restaurant for a couple of years as I have moved out of the area. I returned to visit friends and we decided to go to Chilli Padi as it always had lovely food. On this occasion even though the restaurant was only half full the service was slow and the food was bland . Quite disappointing . Hope it’s just a blip on their part.
