Food was beautiful and plentiful, only thing I would say to improve would be the crackling on the belly pork could have been far more crispy, it was quite chewy but that's something easily put right the edge bit that were delicious ill be back for a 6th time x

Absolutely wonderful Sunday afternoon lunch. Whether you decide upon the Sunday dinner or the Italian dishes you will not be disappointed. Hearty, delicious and very well made. The service is excellent, the waiters and waitresses are a credit to themselves and the management. Highly, highly recommended.

We were very impressed with the whole experience of eating at Osteria. The staff were pleasant, efficient and enormously helpful. We found the canned music very loud, and they very promptly responded to our request for it to be turned down.
The food was very good as were the wines. Thank you all. We wish you continuing success ( mostly so we can keep coming to the restaurant!) Sandra Kerr.

we enjoyed our evening with you very much. my salmon was delicious but the husbands Ribeye lacked flavour although it was cooked as requested.
the service was very good, professional, attentive and appreciated as too often the waiting staff get badly treated by guests.
what I particularly liked was the waitresses kept an eye on how our drinks were going and asked if we would like any more when they could see our glass was empty.
too often at other eateries the staff appear as though they are looking but fail to observe the empty glasses.
we have booked again in November with guests of our own. keep up the good work and good food. thank you.

We were really looking forward to our visit. Service was good and my husband enjoyed his pizza but I was disappointed with my lobster ravioli. It sounded lovely on the menu but did not live up to expectations. I also thought the background music was too loud. Puddings were good.

The restaurant is beautiful & the food very good. But we felt most of the staff were rather lacking. We didn't feel welcomed and had to wait a very long time for our first drinks. Once the friendly Albanian waitress arrived things picked up, but before that we felt quite neglected. It was fairly busy admittedly but there was a distinct lack of friendliness & welcome when we arrived unfortunately. It was our first time at Osteria, for a family birthday and I'm not sure I'd go again, which is a shame as I live in Amble.

We were called earlier in the day to be asked to change the time of our booking to an earlier time which we couldn’t accommodate. It was extremely busy being the Easter weekend. Food was served in a timely manner however, when asked if we would like Parmesan for the pasta it never came. Neither did the spoons and bowls which we asked for at the same time for the mussels. Seafood pasta was ok but the squid was inedible due to not being able to put a fork in it. I was really rubbery.
Not the bed experience to be fair. After reading reviews and from other people we were expecting better.
