Service very slow but that was down to only having a skeleton staff on Food was good and the staff that were working tried their best to keep everyone happy So well done all staff at FERRY INN Mrs Mason
Great night. Great food. No complaints
Didn’t like where we were put. It was like an American dinner/burger bar. Wanted to be in an English pub. Had my 92 year old father with us and was so Not his thing !! Nothing seemed home cooked in menu. Appreciate they were only doing their printed menu but seemed to consist of unhealthy fried type food. Chose scampi but wasn’t tasty at all. Wouldn’t return. Service and servers were good.
Great meal and service would highly recommend.
Lovely atmosphere outside beautiful scenery with the boats
Appropriate measures being taken at this time. Friendly welcome by David and his manner and care would continue throughout our time there. Excellently prepared and cooked food. Good system in place for ordering. We will definitely return on our next trip to Norfolk.
We loved the way everything was dealt with especially whilst the pub had to be so careful about complying with safety concerns.
Excellent service, large meals all served hot and tasty
we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. no complaints
The staff were very friendly and very helpful the food was really nice and the staff did everything I asked for.
Excellent service and all precautions in place for covid food was excellent well worth a visit
Steak was cooked to perfection as were my wife’s ribs. The only reason I would give a 7 for value is that for the one course and 2 drinks it came to £42 which was a little pricey. Other customers are not sticking to the 2m rule which meant the staff had difficulty passing by when carrying food and had to keep asking them to move but all good under the circumstances .
Superb job under the circumstances. Food as good as always. Hope they can survive this pandemic!
Nice food, nice location.
Very nice food!
The table reservation we made for outside was not operative. lucky there was one table available. No Carvery Apart from that 10/10 for everything else.
Very good all round. Nobody came to ask if the meal was satisfactory, although we appreciate you had reduced staff on a busy day. Otherwise a good experience in the current climate. Would certainly come again.
The Ferry Inn have gone to great lengths to make the Pub as Covid secure as they can. Food was very good, staff really helpful and friendly, they explained food would be a while due to staffing levels etc but that was fine in view of the current climate. Really helpful as well moving some boats around to let us Moor for the night, will definitely return in the future.
Great food and location. If anything the portions are too generous - very large meal! We were served quickly and it's a popular spot.
Had a lovely meal, then sat outside for a few drinks, very nice. Staff were very helpful.
Mooring booking if possible, we were lucky to get moored, helped by Gus,Tom and a lady from the pub, otherwise would of had to cancel booking.
Very friendly and helpful.. Efficient Two enjoyable evenings there..
The Ferry Inn was well organised with the Covid regimes and staff were really helpful and pleasant. Food good and we were served all together. Easy process and great experience. Thanks
Does what it says. Good for family meal at reasonable price. Outside looks good. Unfortunately you can't run a tab, even by pre swiping a card. That's the only negative thing I can say.
Very covid secure - bar we were placed at a table and then others next to us when rest of venue clearly had alternate tables taped off, so a little odd given 1 way system, staff in masks, hand gel everywhere. Food choice may be limited for some but suited our needs as a family. Portions were generous, service polite and 'distanced' and quality good. Going back 2 days later.
The man who served us behind the bar (originally from Liverpool) was brilliant. Only downside was the aircon made the room very cold!
A very nice experience and felt very safe. Food lovely
Lost a point for service as one of our dishes was omitted when the food was brought out. Was remedied swiftly though with no quibbles. The food itself was lovely, no issues there. Staff were good and quick at ensuring distancing was observed meae the bar and hand sanitising facilities were in place at the entrance and exit. The taped off tables (a symptom of social distancing regulations) do spoil the ambiance a little being a constant reminder of the strange times we're living through. Food is a little pricey although no more so than elsewhere on the Broads. Should note that they are not participating in the current 'eat out to help out" scheme.
Everything fine. Ca'nt wait for carvery to return.
Considering the difficulty of social distancing it was a very enjoyable meal
Food was lovely service good nothing to complain about
Lovely to be welcomed back at the Ferry Inn. The atmosphere was great, the staff were as courteous as always. The portions were fantastic. The social distancing measures put in place were manageable, just a shame to see so many tables taped off. My only complaint was having to have cans of coke rather than draught fizzy drinks. This did cost me more overall as I had to buy more drinks to keep us going.
A good meal in a great setting. The weather was beautiful so sat outside which we all preferred due to the current circumstances. Good one way system in place & staff very helpful
Good service. Food typical British pub food. Everything with chips but they are nice chips. Large portions so glad I had a starter as a main. No wonder the UK is obese! Have smaller portions and charge less. I have been to the Ferry many many times but I’m sure the decor hasn’t changed in 40 years. It’s a bit drab and dark in there. Need more vegetarian options. 99% meat on the menu.
Lovely food, the pub needs updating.
Food was lovely and the servers were all super - the only downfall was that the food took AGES to arrive. I appreciate it is all cooked fresh, but it took hours. Longer than you would ever expect even if the food is freshly cooked. Which then meant that our boat trip on the river had to be cut short. Can’t fault the food or the staff, but the delays were a shame.
Will certainly go back.
Good choices on the menu, something for everyone. Service excellent. Only go though if you’re really hungry! The portion sizes were ridiculously large. We didn’t order a starter but even so none of us managed to eat all of our chips. The apple crumble portion could have fed all 4 of us and was just a waste. We would have asked for a doggy bag but actually the crumble wasn’t great so we didn’t bother.
Lovely pub, with hardworking staff.
Excellent service , friendly and helpful staff offering good food at a reasonable price.
Great location and food
Food was good but service very slow
the waitress took our dessert order then her phone rang and she said she would be back but didn't come back. I don't think she should have answered her phone while taking an order so we paid for our lunch and went.
Great Meal, but 55minutes to wait from ordering was a bit too long as the venue didn't seem very busy. will still keep coming back as usual though on our day trips out from Milton Keynes.
Obviously with Covid going on it was different.Shame the carvery wasn’t on as all of our table wanted a Sunday dinner. No one rang to say it was a limited menu but the food was nice
Lovely food and perfect setting. Shame they weren’t doing the Eat out to Help out scheme as the bill seemed very high!
Come here often when visiting Norfolk and always loved it but not so much this time. Understandably things are harder at this present time but we had booked and were told on arrival there was a 90 minute wait on food. We could of been contacted prior to arrival so we could decide to come or not. Not sure why so long as the place was empty. Also a limited menu which is not specified online . Luckily it wasn't raining because the one way system takes you outside in order to go back inside to order food and drinks. Not ideal. However we will return but maybe when this pandemic is over
Pity the male waiter did not follow guidance by wearing his mask correctly ! His nose was exposed the whole time
DUe to the virus, no carvery, although advertised outside. Bit of a pain no table service. Que for drinks and receive menus, get a table then que agin to order food , Food was hot and as advertised. Cost was ok.
