Love the Green Man, food is always really good and ample portions. The staff are attentive without being intrusive..
Love the lit up tree in the centre of the restaurant and the outside play area is great for keeping the kids happy..Happy kids, Happy eating out!!..
Wouldn't recommend the baclava..only disappointment I could raise really, but hey ho..personal taste I guess..(the portions of main didn't really warrant a desert anyway .lol!!..)
Definitely will be visiting again..there is an ap supplied to get 15% off order which you can use at table to order, bit fiddly for this oldie..but the staff, or maybe a younger member of the group can help!!)

The fish and chips I ordered was very nice apart from the batter on the fish was not cooked very nicely. The batter was crispy on the outside but too squishy on the inside as if the oil it was fried in was too hot. The rest of the meal was delicious.

My overall experience was excellent. The venue was full but the service was very good and the staff were courteous and efficient. The main meal served as a carvery was fresh and hot with all the trimmings. I would certainly recommend this venue. The only comment I would add is perhaps the booth/bench seat tables should only be used for 4 persons. My party was 5 and it was rather tight for 3 people on the bench seat. However this was quickly solved by an extra being placed at the end of the table so we were all comfortable.

Friendly and welcoming staff, and very tasty food. I don’t really understand why ordering on the QR code is beneficial to the staff; we felt it was a bit of a faff but saving 15% on £105.00 bill was obviously a sensible thing to do. Unfortunately my granddaughter suddenly felt ill while we were there, hence a meal left untouched. But would go again.

A little unprepossessing externally, but internally very large and bright with a very well decorated and pleasant environment for a meal. Staff are helpful and attentive and very swift. The food is very tasty and comes from an extensive and varied menu - portion sizes are very big and should satisfy every appetite Prices very reasonable for such a good location and ambiance. Definitely a place we will revisit when next in that area.

The children’s area outside is much improved since our last visit.
The menu is very good and all our meals were superb and we booked to return on Bank holiday when we were there to choose another item from the menu although the ribs again would be a temptation.

Really enjoyed our visit to the Green Man. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient. While I'm sure the food choices are well-cooked, I would have liked to see a little more choice (e.g. pasta, French, Italian and Spanish dishes, steak & kidney pie/pudding) but this was day one after a long period of shut-down so maybe the menu will expand in time. My one disappointment was the absence of draft beers, but, again, this will be remedied in time - probably already. Overall, I was glad the be able to go out for a meal in pleasant surroundings, and hope the restaurant is soon full of customers again.

Our first visit while staying with our daughter in Rackheath. Outside appearance not encouraging and would not have been my first choice but she had had a Sunday lunch delivered during lockdown and found it really good value so booked up for 4 of us. A quiet Wednesday evening. Friendly welcome, reasonably prompt service although surprisingly the child’s chicken nuggets were the last things to arrive with a delay of some 5 minutes which was unfortunate. Very large portions on all adult dishes and really tasty. Too big however to think of a dessert so will have to go back again to sample these when back up in Norfolk. A really pleasant evening for our first pub outing after lockdown and highly recommended.

The meal was during 'Eat Out to Help Out' or we wouldn't have been able to go. There are no complaints but we hadn't realised that the restaurant had become a diner since our last visit. That was disappointing to us as we don't usually eat this type of food but it was well cooked and presented by lovely staff in great surroundings. Portions are huge. We only had mains as we couldn't manage desserts!

This was our first post-lockdown meal at the Green Man. It was good to be back. We were made to feel welcome. The decor with the tree and balcony scene is good. Service was good with very pleasant staff. Food was good too. Definitely will return.

Unfortunately the Green man was going to be closed, but I did get a phone call asking If I could go to sister pub the Ferry Inn.
Visited the Ferry Inn and it was superb all round except they were going to do 30% discount for the extra miles which we all forgot about at the end but hey ho!

The table which had been reserved for our party of 6 wasn't really suitable but we were shown to an alternative, round table which was perfect. The selection on the carvery was excellent, but could have been hotter.

We enjoyed our meal but our grandchildren had difficulty with there food from a basket would have been better on a plate but the basket would be better for an older child and also a proper spoon with there ice cream the bread and butter pudding was ace
