We are never disappointed to go to your restaurant. One point would be when we reserve on-line would be to pay attention to the "request" box. We had asked to be outside out of the sun, when we got there we were reserved for in the sun and no roof. Luck would have it there was a free table on the East side of the building., but we would have had to leave if we were to be in the sun.

I love the Bridge restaurant, the location, outdoor patio and the fire pits.
The menus has changed, and is good.
The service was a little slow, but I think that is because there is a staff issue in the industry at the moment.
The food was delicious, although some thought the salad portions were a little small.
However we will keep returning, and I will keep recommending the Bridge.
On another note the Brunch is amazing.

We paid our first visit to The Bridge Public House a few weeks ago for a walk and lunch with a retired teachers group. We loved it! We returned last Friday with friends and are coming back on November 10th with more friends. We thought that place was very attractive, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. It was very good value for money. We have posted pictures and write ups on Facebook about our visits and hope others will want to go and eat in your lovely spot.

Hi, I loved the food and the young man serving us was very kind, warm and humble.
I didn't have the best experience with the reservations. After I called you, a woman who answered explained to me how to get the table I want. I did exactly that and provided a detailed note on the online reservation form. When my friend and I arrived at the restaurant, we found out that our table was reserved exactly where we did not want to be. I understand that the tables may be set for four people by combining two tables, but it is so super easy to split those tables that I don't understand why it was not done. We ended up sitting at the table for four people. Perhaps you could have some tables for single or couple of people in all the areas. Business is business, I understand that. But being more inclusive will help your business in a long run.
Another thing, I found the ambiance a bit rudimentary. Perhaps you could help the struggling artists and and put some paintings on the walls. For example, my friend has just painted a couple of beautiful nature pieces, but her disability prevents her from taking care of the business side of it. Some of her paintings are better than I saw in the local galleries. On the other hand, I had one of the best birthdays in my life. I haven't been in a park for a couple of years and being with nature while eating a fantastic brunch dish, felt like being in a paradise. I just wish my friend could relax more, but life ain't easy for the struggling artists. Thank you, Alicja

First time experience for myself and friends, one from England and BC. I made reservations and was confirmed Patio 2nd level, got there was advised downstairs only with no reason why. Waitress was very pleasant. My friends Kale salad was tasteless, 2 orders fish chips, fish was done nicely would have been nice to have non frozen fries. Once our meals arrived we did not see our waitress, we would have liked another glass of wine and dessert. After waiting 25 mins since we had finished our meal I had to ask one of the other waitresses if she could get our waitress. When she arrived she had the bill machine ready instead of asking if we would like anything else. My first experience overall wasn’t a disaster but not overly impressed.

The menu is a bit limited, heavy on sandwiches. What we ate was very good, though. The ice cream selection was disappointing. We didn't expect to be served convenience-store wrapped cones. It would have been nice to have a scoop of ice cream with some sort of topping. Also, the dessert berries might have profited from a little optional whipping cream.

You must be short of servers, because ours started off wonderfully well and then he got busy elsewhere. We asked him and other staff four times for our bills and waited an hour for them. We came close to walking out, but we would never stiff anyone on the bill. Such a good restaurant and nice staff. I hope you are able to hire more servers. Take care and thank you.

My wife and I have been to seven Wednesday evening music sessions on the balcony and have brought friends or family each time. Love it! Good and bad. Good food, as usual, and lovely service, HOWEVER, as you were changing your menu this past week, many selections were unavailable, which delayed service and, I think, embarrassed your server. SUGGESTION: When changing your menu, don't present the menu to diners. Bring out a board and tell diners what you have that day. We were four people who ordered three different items only to be told they were unavailable. It was off-putting.

The ambience is a bit utilitarian and cold, but we had an excellent server, and the food came promptly. My fish and chips were quite good. My one real complaint is that my husband ordered a chicken dish, and it was just that — chicken. It was on a thin bed of something that he couldn’t identify. He thought that it was delicious, but to my mind, a dish that costs that much (I think that it was $22 or $25) should have some veggies with it as well as a starch. In a pub, it should be enough for a full meal.

My guests and I really enjoyed our brunch at The Bridge. The food was a cut above your average pub brunch experience - healthy, tasty, creative. The service was friendly, respectful and efficient. And the prices are reasonable considering the quality. Unfortunately it was too early in the season to really enjoy the ambience of dining on the terrace over the tennis courts. I will return.

I was expecting more from this place because it looks nice. The food is too expensive for the portion, presentation, and taste. I ordered the egg florentine and it looked so sad and too salty. My friend ordered a salad and it only had a few leafy greens that he ended up not eating because it was not fresh. For $45, I was expecting more - unfortunately, the food was worse than Zak’s Diner. The server was friendly and checked on us once but never refilled our water. I guess we could have asked, but a good server would be attentive and proactive enough to do something this simple. Unfortunately, I will not be eating here again even though the location is convenient.

A wee bit disappointed that a number of menu items not available - many folk now check out menus ahead of time and understand there can be some things unavailable but seemed a lot. Enjoyed the music very much felt quite badly for the musician as there was a fair bit of loutish roaring from the bar end, always a risk I guess but somewhat cheered on by bar staff which was not ideal.

Server left without taking a person’s order-we quickly called her back to finish getting the order in. Food took a long time to arrive, 45-60 minutes. The order that was almost forgotten did not get served, and server had to ask again what is was that was ordered. Server took a long time (more than the usual 2 minutes that is customary in the industry) to check on us after food was delivered by another server. When server asked if we needed anything, she forgot to bring those items to us. We had to flag her down again to ask. Meanwhile, food was just ok. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t anything I’d ever come back for. Ambiance-outside seemed nice enough-the table we first sat at was missing the umbrella so we went inside to eat instead. The wall with the clock needs to be painted. Everyone was pleasant, but that’s just not enough for us to want to come back.

Since you are asking: I did not realize how small the tacos were and did not realize they were hors d'oeuvres and not a meal. Next time, I will choose something in the dinner section. Everything was good; my companion enjoyed his meal and we will return soon. We are grateful that there is good service at The Bridge.

Scrumptious meals, served hot, in spite of the cool breeze. Our server was efficient, energetic and enjoyable, while taking care of all our requests. The ambiance and location is perfect for casual or special occasions. It truly is a hidden gem, I ALMOST want to keep it ‘our secret’❣️

Hi, I am not a huge fan of the current menu…very little diversity and the menu is very particular to one pallet. Also, would recommend reintroducing the old wine menu, which, in my opinion, had way better wines available.

I was disappointed in food. Tuna melt was not good. Beet orange salad tasteless. My friend had a wrap. Way too much sauce making it soggy and messy to eat. Service was initially good then waiter disappeared! Dishes not cleared from table and we were not asked if we wanted anything else, nor was cheque brought over. We had to get up to go pay

I understand these are difficult times and many businesses are operating with new staff. I would go back because the setting is very inviting, but both times I have gone lately the service was very slow and the food was mediocre.

Lovely afternoon spent outside on the deck overlooking tennis courts, table sun umbrellas if wishing to avoid direct sun or unshaded table. Upper level deck also offers some shade.
Muskoka chairs on lawn if just wishing to sit under a tree & enjoy refreshments &/or a light snack. Our food choice was tasty (chicken in a ciabota bun)

It's a great place to enjoy good food. It's especially nice during the summer to enjoy nice view to the trees and tennis courts. They have lots of spaces, the tables have good space between each other and good menu with lots of options for meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. It's a unique space in Ottawa.

We we're sat beside a back door entrance which proved very cold . I'd hoped it was not being used but... At the end of our meal some servers preparing a large table for a party dragged metal chairs and clunked all the furniture (I thought they were trying to get rid of us) till we actually had to ask them to do it quietly as we couldn't hear each other talk. I ordered a banana bread cake that was so hard I could almost not cut it so I sent it back uneaten. I love the ambience here and the servers are all lovely, but too many things got in the way on this visit for it to be completely enjoyable.

Our group enjoyed the venue and the ambiance of being outdoors, spaced out and yet sheltered from the rain and sun. We would have enjoyed it even more if there hadn't been a very large party that arrived as we couldn't hear ourselves after that point. However, that is not the fault of Bridge Public House. I would definitely go back again and also recommend it to others.

Our server seemed overly busy, although a cheerful person with a lovely smile in his eyes. Glass of white wine - perfect - a cold, flavourful pinot grigio. They were out of houlimi appetizer; very sad. Decent sized tasty snack lobster rolls, and thankfully not too much celery or mayo. But it took a while to be greeted, even with our reservation on the upper deck (which didn't happen! we were on the terrace facing the fire pits). Drinks and food orders - too slow. And too much people traffic zipping closely by our table. Sadly, probably not going for a return visit.
