The new menu is an improvement over the previous one but still misses the mark. Dishes were a combination of "this part of it is really good, this part of it is strange". We keep going back to try because of the great location and patio, but always leave feeling like the place is struggling to figure out what kind of restaurant it wants to be. Plus, they took away the sweet potato fries!

Loved the covered patio which made it easy to reserve whatever the weather; happy that you take reservations for the patio; loved the quiet, no busy street traffic; Absolut vodka water carafes: a brilliant idea! 3hr free parking is great! Server was very pleasant and we did not feel rushed.

I was disappointed in food. Tuna melt was not good. Beet orange salad tasteless. My friend had a wrap. Way too much sauce making it soggy and messy to eat. Service was initially good then waiter disappeared! Dishes not cleared from table and we were not asked if we wanted anything else, nor was cheque brought over. We had to get up to go pay

A wee bit disappointed that a number of menu items not available - many folk now check out menus ahead of time and understand there can be some things unavailable but seemed a lot. Enjoyed the music very much felt quite badly for the musician as there was a fair bit of loutish roaring from the bar end, always a risk I guess but somewhat cheered on by bar staff which was not ideal.

Server left without taking a person’s order-we quickly called her back to finish getting the order in. Food took a long time to arrive, 45-60 minutes. The order that was almost forgotten did not get served, and server had to ask again what is was that was ordered. Server took a long time (more than the usual 2 minutes that is customary in the industry) to check on us after food was delivered by another server. When server asked if we needed anything, she forgot to bring those items to us. We had to flag her down again to ask. Meanwhile, food was just ok. It wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t anything I’d ever come back for. Ambiance-outside seemed nice enough-the table we first sat at was missing the umbrella so we went inside to eat instead. The wall with the clock needs to be painted. Everyone was pleasant, but that’s just not enough for us to want to come back.

Great food and a courteous server. We were seated in a side room that had absolutely no ambience whatsoever (there was a private event happening in the main dining room). At least put some artwork on the walls! Turn on the fake fireplace! Play some music! Use more comfortable chairs (we kept sliding off the seats)! Oh well, the food was great.

Our server seemed overly busy, although a cheerful person with a lovely smile in his eyes. Glass of white wine - perfect - a cold, flavourful pinot grigio. They were out of houlimi appetizer; very sad. Decent sized tasty snack lobster rolls, and thankfully not too much celery or mayo. But it took a while to be greeted, even with our reservation on the upper deck (which didn't happen! we were on the terrace facing the fire pits). Drinks and food orders - too slow. And too much people traffic zipping closely by our table. Sadly, probably not going for a return visit.

The ambience is a bit utilitarian and cold, but we had an excellent server, and the food came promptly. My fish and chips were quite good. My one real complaint is that my husband ordered a chicken dish, and it was just that — chicken. It was on a thin bed of something that he couldn’t identify. He thought that it was delicious, but to my mind, a dish that costs that much (I think that it was $22 or $25) should have some veggies with it as well as a starch. In a pub, it should be enough for a full meal.

We paid our first visit to The Bridge Public House a few weeks ago for a walk and lunch with a retired teachers group. We loved it! We returned last Friday with friends and are coming back on November 10th with more friends. We thought that place was very attractive, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Thank you for the opportunity to let you know that this particular visit, was not our best one. We had a reservation and were on time, we had a 10 minute wait till a young man came to seat us, another 15 minutes before table 4 got its water and menus, another 10 before we flagged a passing server and got our teas, coffee and mimosa. We placed our order with this young woman we grabed and when our food had not come out 35 minutes later, no table check in there, we went looking and met it coming out the door. No one came by for a food check till we caught our original server's eye and explained that the kitchen had not drizzled any oil, so deliciously described on the menu, over the tomatoes and we asked for vinegar for the poutine. We never saw him again. The young woman who had adopted us, was juiced already and she did her best.
My husband and I owned Noah's, Prime 360, Tucson Roadhouse, some of the Dunn's Delis and more, so I know that a day can get away on you. None the less there was an absence of leadership and it showed.
Luckily your kitchen puts out very good food across the board. And I make a point of coming by with new folks every month or so since the opening. And this was only the second time I left disappointed. You are in comfortable walking distance and your venue is delightful, so it is in my own best interest that I let you know what went wrong on my "early Mother's Day" brunch. The tip reflected my daughters feeling about the service, she served in our restaurants through university.
Hoping the weather is kind this summer for your business to truly flourish and that by my next visit you are a well oiled service machine. You already have all the rest going for you.

Our table all had the fish and chips. The serving was generous with chips, decent with the fish, but inadequate with the coleslaw. The service was excellent. The pub seems a bit cold/sterile. This may be because of the limited numbers permitted and I suspect when you are allowed 100% , it will seem more inviting. One irritant was that our table was wobbly.

Was there last Monday for lunch and ordered a Caesar salad. No romain salad,(replaced by a tough dark green salad)soggy croutons, no bacon bits, no fresh Parmesan and the dressing didn’t taste much like a Caesar dressing. I ate about a quarter of my salad.
My friend had the soup of the day which was good but unfortunately the toasted bread was burnt.
I suggest that when you do not have the appropriate ingredients for a dish you should tell the customer that this dish is not available on that day and not serve just anything.
We appreciated Duke’s service.

The 1 item all of us wanted to order (fish & chips) was not available. We were told by our Server that a new menu was going to be starting the following day & therefore they were short on some items. BTW our server was very good, friendly & attentive.
I ordered a beef burger & it was quite over cooked & uninteresting. My husband chose the Buffalo chicken wrap & he liked it. The other 6 friends were ok with their selection but it was not great. Must have been an off night because it’s usually enjoyable dining there, enjoy the ambience. Will be back to try out the new menu

The menu is a bit limited, heavy on sandwiches. What we ate was very good, though. The ice cream selection was disappointing. We didn't expect to be served convenience-store wrapped cones. The Bridge Public House is a happy place to meet friends, enjoy the ambiance of a athletic centre, good food, and be able to sit outside on fine days. The service is very friendly and the overall experience is one of a relaxed and good meeting place. It is also close to Strathcona Park and the new pedestrian bridge which is a great addition for exploring Ottawa.
We will return!

Our group enjoyed the venue and the ambiance of being outdoors, spaced out and yet sheltered from the rain and sun. We would have enjoyed it even more if there hadn't been a very large party that arrived as we couldn't hear ourselves after that point. However, that is not the fault of Bridge Public House. I would definitely go back again and also recommend it to others.

First time experience for myself and friends, one from England and BC. I made reservations and was confirmed Patio 2nd level, got there was advised downstairs only with no reason why. Waitress was very pleasant. My friends Kale salad was tasteless, 2 orders fish chips, fish was done nicely would have been nice to have non frozen fries. Once our meals arrived we did not see our waitress, we would have liked another glass of wine and dessert. After waiting 25 mins since we had finished our meal I had to ask one of the other waitresses if she could get our waitress. When she arrived she had the bill machine ready instead of asking if we would like anything else. My first experience overall wasn’t a disaster but not overly impressed.

We didn’t realize that it was just brunch on Saturday lunch. It isn’t on the website.
The young woman who took the order was very nice. However, the food delivery was slow, one dish was clearly cooled off. Two orders were missing or wrong.
In general the food was good but limited by the brunch menu choices. Coffee was good.

Good and bad. Good food, as usual, and lovely service, HOWEVER, as you were changing your menu this past week, many selections were unavailable, which delayed service and, I think, embarrassed your server. SUGGESTION: When changing your menu, don't present the menu to diners. Bring out a board and tell diners what you have that day. We were four people who ordered three different items only to be told they were unavailable. It was off-putting.

We are never disappointed to go to your restaurant. One point would be when we reserve on-line would be to pay attention to the "request" box. We had asked to be outside out of the sun, when we got there we were reserved for in the sun and no roof. Luck would have it there was a free table on the East side of the building., but we would have had to leave if we were to be in the sun.

Husband disappointed that beer on tap was not served outside. Although the chunks of lobster in our sandwiches were delicious the bread was dry and obviously the sandwich had been prepared quite awhile in advance of serving. Have had better meals inside in the past. The serving staff were all excellent.

Service was courteous but exceptionally slow. Took a very long time to get our food and when we got it, the order had issues. My friend got the wrong kind of taco, my tomato salad dish was missing the bread. Issues were corrected. Took a long time for my friend to get his drink. Overall, it took a long time time to get the attention of the server throughout the evening. Understand that it’s hard to hire enough people etc right now, and again staff were very helpful and polite. Thank you.

Everything was fine and as expected on Tuesday evening.
Wednesday on the side deck, service was fine to start with but it took far too long to get our bill.
The menu could use bigger variety of healthy food - liver, roast 1/4 chicken, fish of various kinds. Great surroundings and well distanced tables to feel covid safe. Should be a bit stricter about people wearing their masks when not at their tables perhaps.

Our usual spot is Working Title on Laurier, but thought we would give this place a try.
Mushrooms on toast was fine. Did not arrive either hot or toasty. My friend said her salad was fine.
It would be great if servers could provide saucers for tea bags. Or even better, provide tea in small pots with cup & saucer.
Would like to see some more vegetarian options for sides: roasted tomatoes & mushrooms, grilled halloumi, half an avocado, berries or maybe some grilled or smoked fish.
Would be nice to have the option of a few brunch cocktails with grapefruit juice...or mimosas.
Porch is lovely and reservation system was great. Will be back to try again in a few weeks.

Portion for the fish and chips was funnily very small. My companion said when the meal arrived:" I didn't know you ordered 1shrimp". The burger was rather bland. I appreciate that it's difficult to get staff, but the service was very slow and inattentive. We have been going there a lot, but we will likely go elsewhere from now on. The new chef certainly didn't improve matters
