The 21st was the most crowded I have ever experienced in the many years I have eaten at RSC. I had made reservations for 7pm and arrived promptly only to find a long line inside the Bridge, and no one to seat us. The servers looked stressed and confused. I saw my name on the reservation form and said I had booked on line, however, she said I could not come in. I insisted and she disappeared and came back to say my reservation was upstairs on the patio and then I went up. The service was very slow and we finally got our food sometime after 8:30pm. My portion was small -- cod cakes. I feel it should have been dressed up with a little salad and when I asked the server for a dip, she left and never returned. The crowds eased off after 8:30pm and then the service improved. RSC has to hire more servers as the weather is improving and people will want to be outdoors on the beautiful patio. This was the worse dining experience I have had at RSC and I have, in the past, had excellent service and food/drink, so I'm hoping it is just a one-time experience!!

One of our friends became very sick and had to go home. in the meantime, the waiter and staff were particularly thoughtful and helpful;.. However, the food was mediocre, high priced and large. smaller amounts for lunch would have been welcome on the menu.

I love the Bridge restaurant, the location, outdoor patio and the fire pits.
The menus has changed, and is good.
The service was a little slow, but I think that is because there is a staff issue in the industry at the moment.
The food was delicious, although some thought the salad portions were a little small.
However we will keep returning, and I will keep recommending the Bridge.

We were a group of 6. We had a good lunch except for one person who had eggs Benedict and she felt it was not hot enough. There was only one busy person serving that lunch hour. She offered to have the meal redone but by the time she came to us to check, it was too late.

Service was courteous but exceptionally slow. Took a very long time to get our food and when we got it, the order had issues. My friend got the wrong kind of taco, my tomato salad dish was missing the bread. Issues were corrected. Took a long time for my friend to get his drink. Overall, it took a long time time to get the attention of the server throughout the evening. Understand that it’s hard to hire enough people etc right now, and again staff were very helpful and polite. Thank you.

Thank you for the opportunity to let you know that this particular visit, was not our best one. We had a reservation and were on time, we had a 10 minute wait till a young man came to seat us, another 15 minutes before table 4 got its water and menus, another 10 before we flagged a passing server and got our teas, coffee and mimosa. We placed our order with this young woman we grabed and when our food had not come out 35 minutes later, no table check in there, we went looking and met it coming out the door. No one came by for a food check till we caught our original server's eye and explained that the kitchen had not drizzled any oil, so deliciously described on the menu, over the tomatoes and we asked for vinegar for the poutine. We never saw him again. The young woman who had adopted us, was juiced already and she did her best.
My husband and I owned Noah's, Prime 360, Tucson Roadhouse, some of the Dunn's Delis and more, so I know that a day can get away on you. None the less there was an absence of leadership and it showed.
Luckily your kitchen puts out very good food across the board. And I make a point of coming by with new folks every month or so since the opening. And this was only the second time I left disappointed. You are in comfortable walking distance and your venue is delightful, so it is in my own best interest that I let you know what went wrong on my "early Mother's Day" brunch. The tip reflected my daughters feeling about the service, she served in our restaurants through university.
Hoping the weather is kind this summer for your business to truly flourish and that by my next visit you are a well oiled service machine. You already have all the rest going for you.

Everything was fine and as expected on Tuesday evening.
Wednesday on the side deck, service was fine to start with but it took far too long to get our bill.
The menu could use bigger variety of healthy food - liver, roast 1/4 chicken, fish of various kinds. Great surroundings and well distanced tables to feel covid safe. Should be a bit stricter about people wearing their masks when not at their tables perhaps.

Great food and a courteous server. We were seated in a side room that had absolutely no ambience whatsoever (there was a private event happening in the main dining room). At least put some artwork on the walls! Turn on the fake fireplace! Play some music! Use more comfortable chairs (we kept sliding off the seats)! Oh well, the food was great.

The menu is a bit limited, heavy on sandwiches. What we ate was very good, though. The ice cream selection was disappointing. We didn't expect to be served convenience-store wrapped cones. Good and bad. Good food, as usual, and lovely service, HOWEVER, as you were changing your menu this past week, many selections were unavailable, which delayed service and, I think, embarrassed your server. SUGGESTION: When changing your menu, don't present the menu to diners. Bring out a board and tell diners what you have that day. We were four people who ordered three different items only to be told they were unavailable. It was off-putting.

The service was very slow on Sunday at noon. We waited almost 45 minutes to get our food but the servers were very nice and checked on us regularly.
I've had the pannini sandwich twice now; in both occasions, the bread was so hard that I could hardly cut it with my knife. I would recommend toasting it less so that the bread is softer.

First time experience for myself and friends, one from England and BC. I made reservations and was confirmed Patio 2nd level, got there was advised downstairs only with no reason why. Waitress was very pleasant. My friends Kale salad was tasteless, 2 orders fish chips, fish was done nicely would have been nice to have non frozen fries. Once our meals arrived we did not see our waitress, we would have liked another glass of wine and dessert. After waiting 25 mins since we had finished our meal I had to ask one of the other waitresses if she could get our waitress. When she arrived she had the bill machine ready instead of asking if we would like anything else. My first experience overall wasn’t a disaster but not overly impressed.

Hi, thank you for this opportunity. I was disappointed this time round as I was given the strong impression that The Bridge no longer wishes to accommodate those with multiple food sensitivities and allergies. I was made to feel that I was an inconvenience and that my requests were unreasonable demands. In addition, when I clearly requested bread - not toast - that message did not seem to get through. Service is all about being welcoming and considerate and finessing a human touch from the kitchen down.
In an age of declining manners and courtesy, it would be so nice for The Bridge do its bit in promoting these dying arts.

The Bridge Public House is a happy place to meet friends, enjoy the ambiance of a athletic centre, good food, and be able to sit outside on fine days. The service is very friendly and the overall experience is one of a relaxed and good meeting place. It is also close to Strathcona Park and the new pedestrian bridge which is a great addition for exploring Ottawa.

Despite being there for lunch on Saturday, we were told that only the Sunday brunch menu - and not the regular menu - was available. Thankfully, the food was tasty and the prices were reasonable. The service, however, was extremely slow and not very attentive (no water, slow to bring drinks, no checking in during the meal to see if we needed anything, etc.). I hope management improves on the negatives or I will stop going back to what used to be a fun place to go to.

Was there last Monday for lunch and ordered a Caesar salad. No romain salad,(replaced by a tough dark green salad)soggy croutons, no bacon bits, no fresh Parmesan and the dressing didn’t taste much like a Caesar dressing. I ate about a quarter of my salad.
My friend had the soup of the day which was good but unfortunately the toasted bread was burnt.
I suggest that when you do not have the appropriate ingredients for a dish you should tell the customer that this dish is not available on that day and not serve just anything.
We appreciated Duke’s service.

Our table all had the fish and chips. The serving was generous with chips, decent with the fish, but inadequate with the coleslaw. The service was excellent. The pub seems a bit cold/sterile. This may be because of the limited numbers permitted and I suspect when you are allowed 100% , it will seem more inviting. One irritant was that our table was wobbly.

My guests and I really enjoyed our brunch at The Bridge. The food was a cut above your average pub brunch experience - healthy, tasty, creative. The service was friendly, respectful and efficient. And the prices are reasonable considering the quality. Unfortunately it was too early in the season to really enjoy the ambience of dining on the terrace over the tennis courts. I will return.

Scrumptious meals, served hot, in spite of the cool breeze. Our server was efficient, energetic and enjoyable, while taking care of all our requests. The ambiance and location is perfect for casual or special occasions. It truly is a hidden gem, I ALMOST want to keep it ‘our secret’❣️

TableAgent needs to update its information regarding COVID protocol at the restaurant. There are no COVID requirements in place but your reservation system talks about contact tracing, vaccinations, masking, etc. The restaurant staff told me that they have been trying without success to get this fixed.

Portion for the fish and chips was funnily very small. My companion said when the meal arrived:" I didn't know you ordered 1shrimp". The burger was rather bland. I appreciate that it's difficult to get staff, but the service was very slow and inattentive. We have been going there a lot, but we will likely go elsewhere from now on. The new chef certainly didn't improve matters

Since you are asking: I did not realize how small the tacos were and did not realize they were hors d'oeuvres and not a meal. Next time, I will choose something in the dinner section. Everything was good; my companion enjoyed his meal and we will return soon. We are grateful that there is good service at The Bridge.

There was a bit of confusion with regards to showing proof of vaccination and ID, specifically for guests that were at the Bridge House for the first time. They ended up going in without showing proof or registering. Since I had registered figured it was fine for contact for my guests.

Out of all the places we took my mother, this was her favourite! We’ll be back next time we’re in town. She loved the large porch and watching all the kids. Liam was a delight: helpful, easy going…

Hi, I loved the food and the young man serving us was very kind, warm and humble.
I didn't have the best experience with the reservations. After I called you, a woman who answered explained to me how to get the table I want. I did exactly that and provided a detailed note on the online reservation form. When my friend and I arrived at the restaurant, we found out that our table was reserved exactly where we did not want to be. I understand that the tables may be set for four people by combining two tables, but it is so super easy to split those tables that I don't understand why it was not done. We ended up sitting at the table for four people. Perhaps you could have some tables for single or couple of people in all the areas. Business is business, I understand that. But being more inclusive will help your business in a long run.
Another thing, I found the ambiance a bit rudimentary. Perhaps you could help the struggling artists and and put some paintings on the walls. For example, my friend has just painted a couple of beautiful nature pieces, but her disability prevents her from taking care of the business side of it. Some of her paintings are better than I saw in the local galleries. On the other hand, I had one of the best birthdays in my life. I haven't been in a park for a couple of years and being with nature while eating a fantastic brunch dish, felt like being in a paradise. I just wish my friend could relax more, but life ain't easy for the struggling artists. Thank you, Alicja

We didn’t realize that it was just brunch on Saturday lunch. It isn’t on the website.
The young woman who took the order was very nice. However, the food delivery was slow, one dish was clearly cooled off. Two orders were missing or wrong.
In general the food was good but limited by the brunch menu choices. Coffee was good.

We were disappointed that there wasn't a larger menu for lunch. We ended up having to have breakfast instead of lunch. Secondly, the bacon that came out was incredibly hard and tough and almost had no taste. I think you need to modify your bacon selection and cooking process.
