Garden Bar Phx is a warm & welcoming neighborhood "garden to glass" cocktail bar located in an adapted 1914 California bungalow in the Roosevelt South neighborhood in downtown Phoenix. Seating is in various rooms, as well as an outdoor (dog-friendly) patio and porch.
Offerings include a curated collection of seasonal cocktails, beer, wine, non-alcoholic options, as well as grazing boards (charcuterie), pretzel bites, humus, and other small food items.
Seating is limited to 90 Minutes. If your party would like additional time, please contact us for availability.
NOTE: We have a $25/PER PERSON MINIMUM for reservations (due to our limited room seating). However, if you would like to walk up without a reservation and sit at the cocktail shelf/bar area or an available outside area, the minimum does not apply. Thank you for your support and understanding!

Frequently Asked Questions- Is there a minimum Food & Beverage spend?
- Yes. We require a $25 / per person food & beverage spend for 1.5 hours.
- Can I make a specific room request?
- Yes, but we do have minimum food & beverage requirements: Full Patio Reservation: $500 / hour; Bodega Room: $150 / hour; Botanical Room: $100 / hour; Fireplace Room: $100 / hour Room reservations are not required, but if you specifically would like a room for your reservation, we highly recommend contacting us directly to reserve a room and to pre-order food, as you like. - What if I want to reserve a room for just 2 people? Does the room minimum still apply?
- Yes.
- Can we bring in our own food?
- No ... unless it's a special dessert or occasion and we know in advance.
- Can we request separate checks for my party?
- Yes. We can accommodate separate checks up to 8.
- What if we don't spend the full $25 / per person. Will be charged the difference?
- Due to the nature of our bar (it being in a home), our seating is very limited and atypical of a cocktail bar setting with fewer seats. Because of that, we do require a minimum F&B spend.
- Can we bring in our own wine and do you charge a corkage fee?
- Yes. And we charge a $25 / bottle corkage fee per bottle.
- Do you rent out your venue?
- Yes. Please inquire for more details at [email protected]
- Do you have plans to extend your hours of operation?
- Thank you! We are planning on going in front of the Board of Adjustment and having our stipulations modified for expanded hours and days of operations. Hopefully, soon!
- Do you take walk-ins?
- Yes! We do leave some seats open for walk-ins. However, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND making a reservation to guarantee a seat and to avoid being on a wait list.
- What is the Bespoke Cocktail Experience and how do I make a reservation for that?
- The Bespoke Cocktail Experience entails 4 cocktails (some mini versions) and food that tie into the era of when our house was built. Cost is $55 / per person. Just include "Bespoke" on your reservation status.
- Does everyone in my party have to participate in the Bespoke Cocktail Experience?
- No. The Bespoke Cocktail Experience can coincide with other food & drink orders. It is not a Prix Fixe for everyone.
- Can the Bespoke Cocktail Experience be "split"?
- No. Although, two people can do the experience as long as they don't mind sipping out of the same glass. (We are unable to split the cocktails into two.)

I proposed to my fiancée in the very patio where we shared our first kiss, capturing the moment with the help of a photographer. The bar staff and all employees present that evening played a significant role in ensuring everything went smoothly, even hooking up the photographer with her own hidden table, chair, and drink, contributing to the magic of the occasion. Honestly, the experience was everything we hoped for and more. “Girls night out”
I will book the front porch next time. How lovely!!! We know it was busy. And trying to accommodate everyone in the rain with seating limitations was stressful. Wrangling us gals who were not following seating rules was very kind and extremely professional. Drinks were amazing!!! Did NOT disappoint. As a gal trying to be mostly vegan …I strayed & wasn’t guilty. This is a special place. The historical details & stories makes it so very special.
Things we thought could be improved? Not sure if they can but…
More umbrellas outside. Stationary & mobile ones due to sun & rain. 1st drink could have been swifter served w/faster non-stop water.
I’m guessing the location is unable to allow front yard seating. But, if possible, that would be lovely. Lattice pavers w/artificial grass or rock/sand? With high tops? Just a thought. That’s expansion & I know that’s stressful. Keeping it intimate is paramount. But, it would allow for “overflow” for those waiting to be seated or get an Uber yo leave with cocktail in hand.

Our bespoke cocktail experience was supposed to last 90 minutes. The second round of drinks did not arrive until 50 minutes in, at which time we told our server that we had dinner reservations in an hour and she assured us we would be finished before then. Another 45 minutes passed, at which time we had to go tell the bartender we needed to leave. The final drinks were brought out with 1-2 minutes to chug them before we had to leave for our dinner. It’s a shame because it would have been a lovely experience aside from the service.
