Wonderful Wednesday night dinner at Sardella's! Warmly greeted by host and offered a choice of seating which was very considerate given that it was Jazz Night and we opted for a corner booth in the bar area that allowed for both and enjoying the music and ease of conversation.
Sue, our server, took terrific care of us, as she always does, making the evening that much more enjoyable.
Insalata di Piedmont with Prosciutto di Parma x2 and Lobster Ravioli x2 paired with a lovely Amarone, followed by lemoncello & a dark espresso martini made for a truly delicious meal.
Sardella's has been one of our absolute go to's for 20 years and remains as such!

Wonderful hostess making us feel welcome in such a cozy beautiful space and very attentive waitstaff —a young man- eve of 11/6/26 on patio. Blown away by this young man’s attention to detail and courtesy! 10/10! We loved the meatballs and specialty gnocchi app. The Caesar dressing was amazing but found the lettuce was a bit sandy and could have been crisper. All in all a terrific value for the delightful meal we enjoyed there and will be back! Portions were very generous too with us bringing home leftovers. So happy we found our way to your restaurant. Reservations for 5:30 but had gotten to Newport from Narragansett a bit early and were able to find parking directly in front of the restaurant so we popped in around 4:20 to see if we could possibly be seated early. The host was very pleasant and accommodating. We were immediately sat and from the moment we sat to the minute we left we were beyond satisfied. We split a ceasar salad, arancini balls, and prosciutto ravioli to split. Delicious. I just wish I had more space in my stomach so I could have eaten more! My daughter had the 4 cheese pizza and loved it. We also had a few martinis. I had N espresso martini and they made it exactly how I prefer. We have been going to Sardellas for many , many years and I have recommended the restaurant to a lot of people. We always enjoy the ambiance and the food.The extra is always amazing. I was disappointed that they have removed the chicken Francise which was a delectable dish of chicken, spinach and cheese in a scrumptious cream sauce from the menu .
I found something else to order, but nothing else compares to the experience of the Chicken Francise that I had enjoyed there for many years. I would be very happy if they put the dish back on the menu.

What a great Italian restaurant in Newport. When travelling from NY I always look for a great spot for some comfort food. Boy was I surprised at how wonderful the food and ambiance was! I had the risotto balls and mussels for appetizers followed by the linguini with clams in a white wine sauce My friend had the short rib. We also splurged for dessert which I never do but since I was on vacation I decided to treat myself to the tiramisu! Yum! Had a few limoncello spritzers and a cappuccino. They even had a live band while eating. What a great find! Highly recommend! The waitress was very sweet and attentive. And the bill was very affordable for 2 people! Will return when I revisit Newport again! Definitely looking forward!

Our meal was wonderful, our server was very sweet but I think a bit inexperienced. She never told us there were specials. After we had ordered, we hear another server telling a table what they were. She was very attentive and we will definitely be back!
