Great to have such a place on our doorstep. The menu is a little bit different from the "normal " offerings for brunch which was a pleasant surprise. Well done, we will be back ....soon!

This was the first time of going to Need, it was great fun . The staff were very helpful made you feel they were pleased to see you The food was fresh and well presented. The venue was very smart and the ambience was full of life. Came out feeling very pleased the two cocktails may had something to do with that Not sure if it was me but I wanted to call to say we were running a bit late . I could not find the phone number to call them. Although we live in Eastbourne we are defiantly going again for another brunch We wish Need good luck a breath of fresh air in Seaford

The banana bread is TO DIE FOR. It has the perfect crunch, generous size AND a sweet, smooth sauce. Definitely recommend! Also given a on the house taster to promote trying new dishes you may not have had before! Brilliant idea to get people stepping out of their comfort zones.

This was my third visit to NEED with 4 members of my family. Everyone enjoyed their food and were impressed by the food, service and ambience. I had told my two young grandsons about the pancake stack, and was rather disappointed to be told as we settled in that everything was on the menu except the pancakes. They said why can’t they make some more? Also, I would like a few more vegetarian menu options. All in all a good experience, just a few hiccups. Coffee very good too.

The food and service were exceptional. My friend raved about the chicken roast as being one of the best she had had (excluding homemade!). The desserts (tiramisu and sticky toffee apple cake) were very generous in portion and tasted delicious. Great little gem find in Seaford.

This was my first time and looking forward to returning. Everything was perfect other than our starter plates were still on the table when the main course came out. We find it's also quite nice to have a little break between courses. That said the service was excellent as was the food and cocktails. Will be back.

The food was absolutely delicious and a lovely setting, the only one teething problem was not really enough waiting staff could of done with another person, other than that it's excellent. Definitely will be going back and will be recommending Need to friends and family.

The renovation is lovely. Light & bright. We were seated at the round table in the corner by the main door. Unfortunately this is right under a speaker & we all felt that the music was a tad loud. We asked for it to be turned down a bit but it remained at a slightly annoying level. As the 3 of us had met to chat that was a negative but it was the only one. The service was professional & efficient. The food was well presented & tasty. We all enjoyed our lunch. I guess the menu choice for lunch will expand/change over time. My feeling is that is won’t be the place for all Seafordians & that’s because it is modern & a bit different from the norm (like La Maison) I hope the restaurant succeeds. It’s a great addition to the town.

It was generally lovely. However seeing the open bag of Morrisons frozen Potato Croquettes out on the open kitchen side was slightly off putting. The meal was described to be served with potato hash so getting the potato croquettes as an alternative was disappointing. I didn't feed this back at the time for my own reasons.

Lovely atmosphere and food. Great to have such a unique place in Seaford. Staff were so lovely and friendly, but a bit too attentive. We felt rushed. There are also too many tables crammed in and so we felt that our conversation was not private at all. Other than that, we had a great time. We were impressed with the free canapés and the drinks were also really lovely. Would return but for a casual lunch, rather than evening meal.

For first impressions-I had booked but wasn’t taken to one of the reserved tables. And yes I told him I booked. Had to ask if we could move to one of the reserved table after he came back. Never asked my name. Then after we had eaten I mentioned my billed was more then what he he was charging me at the bar so he adjusted the machine and I said oh now you’re charging me more than my bill-didn’t readjust. Other than that our food was lovely and decor was stunning.

First weekend open which needs to be considered. Slightly longer than expected service. Food came first before coffee, we had to remind about drink order. Lovely friendly staff, absolutely fab food but slightly more expensive coffee than other places in town.

Great food, good service but felt we were not well informed on the wine. Having asked for a bottle of Rose without reference to the wine list we got a bottle close to £40, we should have been offered the list to choose. So having ordered a second bottle we found our bill considerably higher than expected. There was also an issue with mixing up our bill with another table. It is a real shame. I hope others have a better experience, do ask for the wine list before ordering any drinks on arrival!
