Bistro 09 is my favorite spot for brunch in San Antonio. Excellent menu selection, gracious staff, and our table of six could easily converse so kudos for the ambiance and music level.

The food and service were amazing. This is the first real French style bistro I have been to, and the bar is set really high. The people who were also there were friendly and seemed to have known each other in a very communal and hospitable way, making the entire environment warm to be in. The only downside was a dog that barked a few times and scared our table, but that really is minor as the pet owner was apologetic and friendly with us and the wait staff. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

The food here is always top notch, especially the paella. I had the Dover sole and it was wonderful. The service is as one would expect and the fact that the have a patio so my wife and I can bring our dog is an added bonus.

Everything was delicious! We were a little disappointed in the Bibb and Basil Vinaigrette salad, though. We had it before, and each leaf was already dressed as opposed to serving the dressing on the side. Otherwise it was a memorable meal!

We have always liked this place but hadn't been there in a while. We went for different items on their "restaurant week" menu. The country pate and spinach were excellent. The monkfish was a ver y pleasant surprise. I had beef bourginon which was also outstanding. The Bordeaux wine we had was well priced and went perfectly with dinner. Thanks for a great evening

Service was on point from entry to exit. All five of us had a different dish. The bread reminded us of traditional French baguet, crunch on outside and soft on the inside. Our server and team kept the bred and butter coming....yummy. The Lobster Lasagna was the star. The Paella was tasty, but it was soupy versus moist with a little crunch of the rice. Cocktails were on point! Felt like a valued customer always a plus.

The mussels were overcooked and way way too salty. Glad I had water and beer to drink rather than wines. Cooked so long the mussels were the size of a peanut (except for a half dozen or so) and many empty shells - all garlic & salt and no sauce. to dip bread into. Red snapper was cooked fine, but almost to overcooked. It was a bit dry and with the addition of butter was fine. Plated with the vegetables; nicely presented. Chicken Lollipops were very good I was told by my dining companion. Refill of the diet Coke was a nice touch and greatly appreciated. Service was attentive and not overbearing - job well done.

The Kier Royales were great The Chilean salmon was great. The bread was great. The service was a bit off probably because one waiter was covering the room where we were and beyond. We were never asked about ordering dessert. The presentation of the creme brulee to our party's birthday guy was very nice and it was very delicious--he asked the waiter to bring spoons for each person at the table.

We made reservations but had to sit in the bar.
My husband liked the duck breast but my chicken was dry.
The best part of my meal was the chocolate mousse.
I doubt we will return to the restaurant.
