The wait staff was great.
I loved being back in the dining room with friends. Our servers were top notch and the food came in a timely manner but I was disappointed in my salmon. I ordered it to be cooked to medium doneness and specified, “not dry”, but it was very dry and stiff. The value of the meal has lessened after reopening since the meal no longer comes with a salad or beverage.
FOR FIRST MEAL IN THE REDONE DINING ROOM BECAUSE OF THE COVID PROBLEMS, THEY SERVED THE MEAL QUICKLY AND ALL WAS FINE. THE DINING ROOM WAS NICELY FILLED WITH DINERS, TALKING AND EACH TABLE ENJOYING SOME EXTENDED COMPANY THAT'S BEEN MISSING FOR MONTHS HERE. I TRIED TO LOG IN ON THE 10 SPOT, BUT THE WEBSITE WOULDN'T RECORD ANY NUMBER. GAYL GANSKOW, APT. 336 BLUE SKIES OF TEXAS WEST, SAN ANTONIO, TX. 78245
Wonderful meal and experience.
The enthusiasm and attitude of the staff is tops while the food is good overall and trending toward excellent.
We're thrilled to be back in the dining room with friends. Table Agent is a very good tool for making reservations
Needed to cancel due to ill health
Everything was fine. Berlin did a wonderful job keeping up with several tables . There was lots of running to bring drinks, food, and refills. We felt that the experience was very pleasurable having delicious food and visiting with friends in the Dining Room.
Being able to dine in the dining room again is wonderful. The staff are so accommodating, making us feel special. Looking forward to having the Sunday buffet back again.
Every employee made our stay a great experience.
The dinner was fine, service very good, meal very good.
This review is for dinner on 3/24. Every thing was OUTSTANDING and the food was exceptional the chicken piccata sauce was the best I’ve ever had. S appalled potatoes were perfect as was the asparagus Soup was very good and hot. I would like to eat the same thing again but I am stuffed
Loved being at brunch with our friendly staff again. Service was excellent. I know the food will reflect more of the typical Sunday dinner as we move on. Very impressive start. Many thanks.
Outstanding food and service. Thanks to all of the Blue Skies staff and dining staff for the extra ordinary work to overcome the enormous problems during the past year and recent severe weather. We appreciate the continued restaurant service and all you do.
Table agent has always been a very easy and reliable way to get reservations. It works great so I don't know how you could improve.
Love being able to make reservations on the Table agent...so easy.
This was the first time we were able to eat in the dining room for almost a year. What a treat.
Loved loved the servers and how attentive they were. Great job for opening night. Thank you
This has not happened yet. Maybe next time.
The reservation experience was smooth and easy. Food was “warm”, not spicy enough for Mexican food, service was prompt and attentive.
As we return to normal it is difficult to judge at this point. We strongly congratulate the staff for their efforts during these trying times. We do feel that more attention could be paid to an improved menu and preparation of the food.
Thank you fo Easter brunch.
The wait-staff were attentive and made sure we would enjoy our meal. The food was good, but bland. The coffee was, as usual, very bitter, maybe a little too strong. A milder roast would be better. We're looking forward to it being like it used to be. It was nice to be eating with folks at other tables.
It was wonderful to be with friends again and seeing other friends. However, the leg of lamb meal was a great disappointment. We could not even chew the meat.
This was the first time and I think overall it was very good! As I already expressed to Daniel, there needs to be a wait staff at the cashier to direct the folks to their table so they are not left "hunting" while balancing a tray. The fruit was a little unimaginative. A delay in the bacon was unacceptable.
BSTXW handled the evening very well! Service was perfect-so many friendly faces! Hoping that Friday evening will be even better! Great first try!
Did not like eating out of a sterefoam plate.
Too much starch offered. Too little green vegetables offered.
There were four of us and we all drank coffee with cream. When we caught the eye of the server for refills, we also asked for creamers. The coffee came, but no creamers. We asked for them again, still no creamers. We asked two different servers (one of whom had asked if we needed anything!), but again, no creamers. We finally gave up. It would be nice if, once the meal was served, the server would periodically check on the diners, would listen to what was said, and then provide what was needed.
The prime rib tasted excellent, but there was a lot of fat on each slice. We chose to eat at home, but we would have preferred to have some effort to keep the dinner warm.
The food on Tuesday was not very good: Onion soup was too spicy; fish was dry and tasteless; eggplant parmesan was not cooked enough. Food was not warm enough. We've had better meals in the past. Service has been very good since dining room seated started. Cynthia especially is excellent.
BSTW IS STILL PULLING OUT OF THE PANDEMIC BUT THEIR DOING WELL
We loved having neighbors to dine with in the dining room. Cynthia is a superb waitress attending to all our wants. The temperature of the room was a little cool for the two women. All 4 of us ordered the salmon tart. One was disappointed that there was not much salmon in the tart. One hour was sufficient time.
Looking forward to 6/8 at a table. But it so great tone back!!!
It will be a while for them to recover from the pandemic, but they are working on it a bit to SLOWLY for me.
Thanks for opening the dining room, you’ve done a great job considering the difficulties of the past several months; it is great to again start socializing; looking forward to being able to order from a menu.
