It was my nephew who first told me about this sushi place he highly recommended. So my first visit to Ju-Ichi was about 2 weeks ago. I was really impressed with the quality and taste of the sushi.rolls I ordered, as well as the attentive and friendly service the waitress, Keith, provided. I liked my culinary experience so much that I came back with a friend that I also recommended this place to. We sat at the bar this time. Again, the food was exemplary, and the sushi 'masters' were friendly, and I was impressed by their skills in preparing the food orders for their customers. Ju-Ichi is now my "top gun" sushi restuarant in San Diego!

We were so impressed with the execution, style, quality and freshness of our Valentine’s prefixe meal. We had no problem finding parking, we were seated promptly, and the music, service and decor were fun and exciting. Every plate was absolute perfection from the plating and appearance to the distinct fresh and unique flavors. The recommended sake was the perfect accompaniment to the meal. It was a stellar dining experience and we cannot wait to go back. Thank you for a wonderful and memorable night out.

Everyone of the staff was super friendly and attentive. The menu has some high end items that would make customers believe this is a high end place however the fish quality of the sushi was not up to the standards of other high end sushi restaurants. The head chef seems very knowledgeable and knows what he's doing however the other chefs are questionable. I kept hearing mispronunciations of the menu items during my visit. We got the nigiri mix and the only really good piece we got was a fish from the specials for that day, the rest were just average and not the quality I would expect from a high end sushi restaurant. I will say however the ikura was also really good and prepared well. As well as the non-sushi items were also very good and enjoyable.

Booking was super easy online. The food was amazing! The only improvement would be the wiatress did not know what we ordered (chef's special sashimi) and it would have been nice to know what pieces of fish we got so we know what we like for next time.

I was impressed with the quality of the fish that I ordered and wish that my date was more adventurous. Mostly positive feedback but one critique — When sitting at the sushi bar, it’s nice to be able to order/interact with the Sushi Chef directly. I think that is part of the appeal of the sushi bar in the first place. Typically, I’ve ordered from the waiter for kitchen items but have always enjoyed the banter and experience of ordering sushi from the sushi chef directly.
