Our tea experience is 2 hours. In that time you will enjoy a five-course meal starting with soup, a variety of tea sandwiches and savories, scones, fresh fruit to cleanse your palate, and a variety of delectable desserts.
Our afternoon tea menu changes monthly. At the time of your reservation, please select two teas so you can start your tea at arrival. Another tea may be selected when a pot is emptied. If no tea is selected, your party may have to wait until everyone is seated/served. The price for every person (whether adult or child) who takes a seat is $60.36 (includes tax and gratuity). We only offer a vegetarian option. We no longer offer vegan or gluten-free items.
We serve tea Thursday and Friday at 11:00 AM; on Saturday and Sunday we serve tea at 11 AM and 2:30 PM; Wednesdays **see booking notes below.

Full payment must be received upon reservation.
Cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to the scheduled reservation to receive a full refund.
If your selected day is booked, go back to the reservation page and select Waitlist for the date and time you want. A credit card hold will be required to hold your waitlist reservation. If a table becomes available, we will contact you to confirm the reservation.

Frequently Asked Questions- Do you have gluten-free options?
- Vegetarian is the only option offered.
- Are babies allowed?
- We encourage you not to bring children under the ages of 4. Any child that can take a seat is a paying customer. Strollers are prohibited due to space and safety restrictions.
- Do you accept walk-ins?
- No, a reservation is required. Please use our online reservation system to book. If you are trying to book a reservation within 48 hours of your date, you must contact us via phone or at [email protected] to book.
- What happens if I cancel within the 3 days cancellation policy? What are my options?
- Most tea rooms have a standard cancellation policy of 1 week. Ours is 3 days and there are no exceptions. We must be able to know the number of people we are serving, schedule staff, and prepare the food which is made to order in a timely manner. Leaving a voice message on our phone line is acceptable as long as it's in the time frame. If not, your options are the following: find someone else to take the spot or pick up and take the food to go. Please call us ahead of time to let us know
- What's the best way to make a reservation?

- What if I have a party of 20 or more?
- Please contact the tea room to make a reservation. Parties of 20 or more are subject to a $125 party fee. If you wish to book the entire inside or outside patio, a minimum of 35 people must be booked per section. A party contract and a 50% non-refundable deposit will be required to complete the booking.
- Why can I not book a Wednesday online?
- Wednesdays are special event days and require a minimum of 8 people to book. If we do get a party of 8 or more that books on a Wednesday, then it will be opened up and available on our reservation system. If you try to book through our reservation system and it does not allow you to make a reservation then please call us to schedule (if you have 8 or more) or it means we do not have the minimum number of people to open that Wednesday.
- How do I do TEA TO GO? What's the difference between the sit-down tea and the tea to go?
- Tea to Go is only available on Saturdays and Sundays. Pick up must be between 10-11 AM. Reservations can be made through our website. Please select Tea to Go on the drop-down menu. The tea to go package does not include the soup, hot savories, and fruit on the monthly menu. If you sit down with us all items on the menu are given served.
- How do I buy a gift certificate and how do I use it on the reservation system?
- Gift certificates are handmade and must be purchased at our location. Please call to book your reservation if you have a gift certificate.
- Why have the prices increased this year (2021)?
- Dear Friends: Marlene’s Tea & Cakes has implemented a price increase on our afternoon teas due to inflated overall prices from our suppliers. This increase was necessary to maintain our current levels of high quality and service. Marlene couldn’t compromise on quality and she’s committed to preparing fresh, prime food items using only the finest ingredients, serving on fine China, preparing fresh flower arrangements and linens, while creating an experience our guests deserve. The Christmas tea has become a tradition for our little group of friends. The food is always good. We love the chicken salad with cranberry sandwich, although this year it changed to turkey with beet and orange. Not quite as good but ok. The price is a bit high as you must pre pay including gratuity, but the experience is always great.

Lovely ambience and a very welcoming staff. Our table was beautifully set and ready when we arrived. The tea was delicious, with each pot kept warm over a pretty tea candle warmer. I love Harney and Sons teas. The soup starter was delicious. The center of attention was a 3-tiered tea tower, artfully and festively arranged with an assortment of savories and sweet pastries decorated for the Christmas season. As we were leaving, the staff volunteered to take a couple of photos of us. A very pleasant tea!

Marlene's was awesome! We loved our tea choices and the food was delicious. The ambiance can't be beat for a relaxing lunch. The only comment was that some of the food should have been eaten warm - it would have been nice if when the tray was brought out it was pointed out that it might be better to eat certain items first since they would be better warmed. We chose the sandwiches first and by the time we got to the other items they were cold. Other than that everything was great!

I’ve been here several times now, the most recent for a friend’s baby shower. The service is always warm and friendly. The food is always delicious—everything perfectly seasoned and each morsel different from the last. The ambience is so lovely—lots of other lovely patrons all enjoying quality time with friends. It was amazing. The place is so cute and service impeccable without being snobby! It was our fourth time at Marlene's and it is beautiful each time. I was actually surprised to get seating as we were on the waitlist for the holiday weekend but it all came through and my daughter and I had the usual great time. I do like how there are seating times that allow for the leisurely time to talk and visit without feeling rushed or that you are being side-eyed by management wanting to turn over tables more quickly like in some places. I also like the pay ahead so that waiting for a bill isn't an issue. The soup is fantastic. The tiered sweets are so sweet that I find they are cuter to look at at least for my tastes but I get it; they are sweets! Great scones and sandwiches though still a bit sweet for my tastes. I love Marlene's and will keep coming back.

Afternoon tea at Marlene's is always a wonderful experience. We dined on her beautiful flower-filled patio, staying toasty because of numerous heaters. The food is always superb, being completely homemade and presented beautifully on a china tier. Four teapots on warmers were kept filled by our smiling servers. My friends and I had a very lovely afternoon at Marlene's Tea and Cakes.

Had a wonderful experience. First time and plan to come back. The inside of your place was magical, it made you feel so special. The space inside , the decor and smell just felt like I was a young girl getting my wish on being treated like a princess. I had an enchanting moment. Service was hospitable and friendly. Your staff was ever attentive and professional. I liked that everything was taken care of ahead of time including payment. Also had no issue with changing reservation from outdoor to inside sitting. Impressed that our table was set up with the teas upon our arrival and that our host explained what tea we were served and the details on our lovely tray of foods. Delicious tea and the food was such a treat. Every single bite was a delight and was amaze that for small appetizer like food we could not eat all in one sitting. I was still full and only ate the rest of my dessert from your place for dinner. Thank you for making me smile the whole day.

Always a lovely time. The attention to detail is amazing. Each delectable treat is hand made and you can really taste the dedication that goes into each item.
