The winner of the 2022 Sheffield & District CAMRA Pub of the Year Award, The Rising Sun is a community pub and dining room based in the leafy Sheffield suburb of Fulwood. We have been operated by Abbeydale Brewery since 2005, and always feature a wide range of their beers on our bar as well as a number of rotating guest specials across both cask and keg. In addition, we have an ever-changing cider selection, a carefully curated wine list, a large range of quality spirits and plenty of non-alcoholic options too.
Our large beer garden is perfect for drinks in the sunshine - with covered, heated areas for rainier days too! The pub is also both child friendly and dog friendly.
We have a creative, seasonal food menu that showcases the best of British produce and sees us working with a whole host of local suppliers. Online reservations are recommended for those who wish to dine with us and our menu can be viewed on our website www.risingsunsheffield.co.uk.

For bookings of 10 or over, please call us on 0114 230 3855.
We do not accept bookings for drinks only.
If you are bringing a canine companion with you, please let us know in the booking notes so we can seat you at an appropriate table. Food is served throughout the building and dogs are welcomed (and encouraged) throughout the pub and conservatory but we keep the Dining Room dog free for our guests who are less comfortable with dogs.

- Opening times are Midday – 11pm, Monday to Sunday. Food is served 12-9pm, Monday to Saturday & 12-7pm Sunday.
- Are children permitted?
- Children are permitted until 7pm but must remain seated with their responsible adult. Children dining with their family are permitted until 9pm.
- Are dogs allowed?
- Dogs are very welcome but must be kept on a lead. The Dining Room is a dog free area during food service times but food is served in all areas of the pub.

Staff are great. Seem to really care about their job. Great place and quiz.
The food we all chose was excellent. Previously have had roast dinners early evening on Sunday and the Yorkshire puds were dry and over done by then as were the roasts.
Avoided the roast for this reason but might give it another try sometime.

Really lovely food by really lovely people. Had mackerel pate with pickled rhubarb on home made brown bread, it was the best thing I'd eaten in ages, and my daughter loved her kids' fish. We had to turn around quickly and they did it for us despite being busy in main bar.

We had a great time here on Sunday. The food (roast turkey with all the trimmings), service and general ambience in the pub were all excellent. It was all the better with tables well spaced apart, not at all noisy or crowded and with some good music playing in the background. If you like a nice relaxing Sunday lunch in pleasant surroundings I'd highly recommend The Rising Sun.
