A bar and restaurant serving modern, playful Japanese-inspired cuisine. Home to one of Singapore's best happy hours and the country's longest-running daily oyster happy hour.
Been to all TR outlets now, and this one is my favourite! Also appreciated that the staff was very accommodating in helping me prepare a slice of cake to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Slightly bummed by the price of food, but nevertheless will still be coming back in the future.
Food selection has too much carbohydrates contents. Being cautious about my intake, I can only eat 1 bowl of salmon with rice, without any appetizers or side dishes. And I don't take oysters.
This is what happens when an Executive Chef is so passionate about flavour that he goes insane! The taste fusions here were quite unique, to the point that in some cases, you wouldn't expect them to work, but once you place one these bad boys in your mouth, you realise that you were very much mistaken! Marshmallows on fries? You gotta' be kidding me! But again, I ordered them, tried them, and obliterated the entire bowl. It was surprisingly delicious! I also sampled the oysters and sashimi; a much more prosaic choice, but delicious and fresh in taste. My favourites where the culinary explosions of the Futo Sushi. Monster sized sushi good for sharing (if you like the person you're dining with). These were a taste explosion, with the beef/cheese combo being a delicious highlight! Finally, the staff were friendly, relaxed, yet professional. These guys have earned themselves a regular customer with me!
very good service, kind staff and prompt in following up. Thank you!
Ambiance was so so. Music was too loud and that caused all the customers to talk over the music. Food is great value, especially on weekdays where your rice sets are only $10 which is very affordable. Will come back again
Relatively noisy and doesn't seem enough service staff attending to tables.
Excellent food, excellent service. We had an engaging waiter served our table. Be sure to request for indoor seating if you don’t want to sit outside.
Good service from the team !
Beyond excellent experience! Table was nicely indicated my name with reservation. Table was also very very clean and service was very prompt. Big thumbs UP!
The food and service was good. The outdoor seats needs to be better ventilated. Its quite hot to be seated outdoor so we weren't able to stay long. Sadly the oysters are sold out when we rch at 7.15pm.
Table was located in a quiet place, great for having conversations.
Food and service were great!
Fries was too salty
Very good customer service, thank you!
The staff is really courteous! :) I enjoyed the service!
Will visit again with friends to try other food here for a more complete review
Food was pretty decent. However food was generally expensive and small serving for the price. Service was pretty average for such a hyped up place
Felt that the cocktails was a bit watered down.
The cocktail menu can be improved and would be nice if they remove the oysters off the menu if it’s upon availability.
The air-con at Tanuki Raw at Orchard Central is not cold enough. Overall, service was good and food was good.
The restaurant felt a little warm and stuffy. Food and drinks was as great as always. The restaurant has managed all safe distancing measures during this COVID period to the best standard possible.
Didn't know that they no longer serve sweet potato fries for their wham fries. Portion is a little small even for ladies but overall good quality.
Was busy during lunch time thus plce was noisy. They seemed to be short staffed, thus customers could have walked out without paying and the staff may not notice.
Been to the branch at orchard central 3 times. For a mid week dinner it was quite crowded. Felt the place was a bit stuffy and the aircon ventilation could be better. Was disappointed with the change in drinks menu as it had a rather selective cocktail choice. Other than that food quality was good with pricing reasonable.
My Japanese friend commented it is the first time she is having such Japanese Fusion food, and it was not bad. Just the taste sometimes was not blending. On the day when we dined, the NETS, VISA and Mastercard machine was not working. It was either cash or Amex. Luckily I had an Amex or would have to run about looking for an Automated Machine to withdraw cash which will be a hit or miss given you don't know how much dinner will be.
Service was good, I liked that this lady server wished my dad happy father's day. There was some kind of odour at the location we were seated, which was right behind the cashier, which you might want to look into. The sashimi was fresh and tasty but the spam fries had a strange type of coating not to our taste.
