Sign up for classes and events like pottery wheel, ladies nights, themed events, and camps under the classes, camps and events calendar menu option.
Kiln firing for liquid and food safety (we do not fire outside works). Acrylic paint for fun and decoration. Canvas classes, kids classes, adult classes and events.

Frequently Asked Questions- Are you a restaurant?
- Often asked! No we are not a restaurant. While we do use table agent for our booking system and that is a service mainly used by restaurants. This booking system will morph to encompass and clarify it's wide scope of business not in the food industry. Outside of pandemic we will one day again offer snacks and treats for hungry painters.
- Can we walk in?
- While we try to cater to walk-ins, during this time with high traffic days throughout the year we have chosen to REQUIRE RESERVATIONS especially on weekends and holiday seasons.
- How long does it take to paint a project?
- Depends on the person and the project. Detailed and larger projects may need more time. Kids ages 3-12 up to 1 hour. Adults who are more crafty may need 1.5 hours or even several trips in.
- How long does it take to get glaze projects back?
- Up to 2 weeks. Especially during holiday seasons of Easter, Halloween, Christmas etc. We will notify you according to the information you leave on your registration form. Xmas Trees and classes can take 3 weeks. We know you don't really want to see Halloween pottery at the end of summer, but it is necessary to begin any holiday painting to adjust for kiln firing and turn around time needed. :)
- Why didn't I receive a text message?
- Over the past 10years we have tried to solve this mystery. It baffles us too. A couple of causes-- A. Your cellphone was in a place with no service at the time we sent a text message. B. We use Apple products and messaging systems may not be compatible with other cellphone brands. We really want you to have your pottery! Feel free to reach out! Also, there is no shame in picking up an item from extended stay. However we do donate items after multiple messages & 90 days.
- Do you offer Pottery Wheel?
- Yes! The owners are very skilled at making and teaching pottery wheel. You may hear this refferred to as "Throwing" or "Wheel Throwing" Please sign up online with pre-payment from our website at www.pigeonhenpottery.com. Pottery wheel is available mid January through end of October.

It’s a lovely place, helpful staff, they check in with you but just the right amount, paints available are a wide selection with a very slight uncharge for special ones ($1 extra per selection). We went, 3 adults, there 3 hours, reservations on line worked great, we each did one item with some special paints added, cost $112.00, divided by 3 that’s not bad for entertainment for 3 hours. You don’t have to be artesy to make something look good. Prices on pottery pieces range $25 to about $70, some special paints are $1 per color, some $3 per color. There are some pieces to choose very fun for kids. Wished they would have had spoon rests and pie plates to choose. We did a coffee mug, a small table bowl (sit fruit out on your table), and a dolphin coin bank.

Always love taking on a project at the Pigeon and Hen. Staff is friendly and helpful. If I were to offer and suggestion, perhaps more of a pottery selection to choose from. It was pretty busy when I was there, and some bare spots on the shelves. But my daughter and I had a wonderful time!

I brought my granddaughter to the Pigeon and the Hen. It was her second visit there. We had a really nice time and everyone was very friendly! My granddaughter, who’s just learn to read this year loved the ambience and watching other people paint. I love that there was enough room on the table to space out so you weren’t listening to each other’s conversations necessarily. It was an “experience” type type of girl’s day out! We had a really nice time!

I was there on my birthday with my daughter and husband we had the best time. The employees were very knowledgeable, attentive, helpful, and friendly. We hadn’t been in 5 years and forgot how much fun it was, we will be back soon.

I absolutely love this place. I have been 3 times, and will continue to go back. There isn't a thing I don't like. It is so tranquil & peaceful! The staff is always AMAZING! It is rare these days to recieve service before you ask. This team continues to take care of every guest with a kind sincere demeanor. I am a very independent person, and the staff is good about understanding that and letting me do my "zen" thing. The choices of projects are always plentiful. The paint colors are plentiful as well as brushes and accent tools.
Each time I leave, I can't wait to come back.
