We recently had a wonderful experience at the Oxwich Bay Hotel in the Gower. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed – especially appreciated since we were dining with both our dog and our 5-month-old baby. The dog-friendly snug was perfect, cozy, and comfortable, allowing us to relax and enjoy our meal without worrying about our furry family member. For our meal, we ordered the cod and chips, which was simply delicious. The fish was incredibly fresh, with a beautifully crisp coating, and the chips were exactly as they should be – golden and fluffy inside. We also tried the chicken with a warm salad and chips. The chicken was cooked perfectly, and the warm salad was a refreshing addition, bringing a lighter but still filling choice to the table. To finish, we had the crème caramel for dessert, which was just divine! It was silky, sweet, and the ideal way to end a wonderful meal. The staff was warm and accommodating, creating a relaxed yet refined environment that made our visit all the more enjoyable. The Oxwich Bay Hotel is a gem, especially for anyone looking for a dog-friendly, family-oriented spot in the Gower. With delicious food, excellent service, and a gorgeous setting by the sea, we couldn't recommend it enough. We’ll definitely be back!

The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is a great location and the only comment would be that the decoration in the restaurant could do with a little updating. However this will not stop us all visiting again.

When booking an occasion box , filled in birthday, but then in conversation with the staff, it was only then they new we were at dinner to celebrate my birthday. They were pleasant & helpful staff during service and attention to detail after.

A few years since our last visit and was good to see that there is a larger dog friendly area now. Food was delicious, just unfortunate that we had to wait a long time for it and my carrots and cabbage were tepid, everything else was piping hot though.

Loved the view from our room The curtains are very dated and they don't keep the light out around the edges The bathroom was lovely yet the sink and cabinet looked like it came out of a skip it was so damaged Breakfast was great staff very attentive Evening meal was over priced and steak very poor so chewy and no flavour But I would return as we enjoyed our stay but I would not eat in the restraunt

Lovely meal but did feel there was too much parsnip with roast and strongly flavoured (with parsnip) root mash, everyone left that. Green vegetables were poorly presented and overcooked, looked messy, otherwise a lovely meal but probably wouldn’t return.

The hotel is confused - it's neither a beach bar/restaurant nor a hotel. As a guest you have to queue with walk-ins and the restaurant struggles with the same problem. There was a 45 minute wait in the hotel for food last night as they served people off the beach. The night before zi sent a steal back as it was nearly raw 25 minutes passed and no sign of it. So my dinner was bread and butter and sticky toffee pudding. The hotel is very dated with a poor layout. Staff are all very friendly just not enough of them. Shame as it could be so good with one of the best locations I've ever seen.
