It was the 1st day of opening so wasn’t busy which was a shame as would have liked to have seen more support for them. The food was beautifully cooked & the brownie desert excellent. My only minor comment would be that the sharing Camembert was very small for 2, smaller than other places we’ve had it and an uneven number of bread slices. Cannot fault the friendliness & service from the staff.

The Charlwood had very few other diners when we went on a Tuesday, which did mean that the service provided was very good. The menu is mainly British but that suited us fine. Overall we enjoyed the meal.

Staff very helpful but all felt a bit flat. Pub was being prepared for new ownership.
Staff morale and general pub decor reflected this.
Food was good although a full menu was not available. Enough for us though as a party of 5 adults.
Will go back when takeover is complete...

The team seemed to have been rushed off their feet after a busy Sunday lunch period. Although there was limitations to the menu after the busy afternoon, they were very attentive and the food we did have was great!
