After many wonderful years of serving our community, Bijoy's will be permanently closing its doors on October 14th, 2024. We have made the decision to retire. We are deeply grateful for your patronage and support and will cherish the memories we've made together. Thank you for everything.

Not enough parking. Was late for reservation because had to walk quite a distance. Wasn’t offered a wine list so assumed your place was not licensed.
Server was a delight! As was the food, although the special had run out.
Except for the loudness of chattering, it was a lovely experience.

Everything was excellent!!!
The salmon & vegetables were delicious! The toffee crunch dessert divine! They even put a candle on the dessert without being asked to, I mentioned it was my sister’s birthday! Safety measures were adhered to. The meal was very reasonably priced as well. It was so wonderful to go back to dining in a restaurant, it’s been so long since the start of Covid 19 in Canada!

Always love this restaurant. Food is consistently great, and service and wonderful server add to the experience. I always bring my friends to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions and my friend from Scarborough always wants to go even though it is almost an hour trip for her. Keep up the good work.

I love BIJOYS! Yesterday the food was really superb and the portions seemed larger at lunchtime than I remember before Covid. The soups were great as were the lamb stew and chicken tikka. Excellent and friendly service too!
One recommendation might be to warm up the dining room before noon a little more, but it was certainly liveable!

Love this small restaurant that has great offerings for all and those who must eat gluten free as well. Would hope that they may start providing changes in selection, for variety, for those of us who come fairly often. Perhaps start with daily specials that are different from the norm? Usually it is fairly quiet but if there are larger groups, you will notice an uptick in noise. Service is good and food is tasty. The pavlova for dessert is a winner.

This small restaurant (26 seats) is perfect during this time of Covid. Spacing is maintained and all tables are 2 or 4 (6). They are only open 9-3 pm with 2 lunch seatings. Food is good, fresh, varied with multiple GF options available. Their Pavlova is the best!

Most food items were excellent. Cesar salad had mouldy odor, determined to likely be the parmesan on top. Unfortunately it tainted the entire salad. Restitution was offered. Waitress was kind and earnest, but English skills wanting, resulting in difficulty clarifying our questions. Owner had usual professional and attentive manner.

We have never had a bad meal, or even less than excellent! One of us is Celiac, and it is wonderful that so many items on the menu are Gluten Free, especially the desserts. The Pavlova, by the way, is superb!!
Our only wish would be that they can open up for dinner again, but it won’t stop us from eating at our favourite restaurant in York Region.

Very loud, but expected and joyful, wouldn’t want to be wearing hearing aids.

Unfortunately for us we went on Tuesday and it was packed - full of women SO it was very loud and hard to hear each other. The staff did their best but they are short staffed - It took an hour for our lunch to be served - We love the place but I think it is so popular now and hard for them to keep up to it all. Love the food and the staff - we have had several years of joy there - Some women are just LOUD. xx

The menu is extremely reduced in selection and my favourite (ratatouille crepe) is no longer available. I had instead a greasy panini with large pieces of egg plant and slices of zucchini with some feta smeared over the lot. My Greek salad was mostly large chunks of cucumber. This offering was a shadow of the restaurant’s former virtuosity in healthy cooking and selection. What a shame.

Love your place, setting, food, and staff.
The only comment, is that the waitress sat 2 foursomes, then added another foursome all at one end of the room. The opposite end had only 1 person there, for a while. As Covid is still with us, I feel it would have been better to have spread the 4-somes, some to the other end. THANKYOU for a nice lunch

Unfortunately I could not stay for lunch. Our table was not quite ready at 1:30 and we had to wait with another couple. One of the women in that party was wearing a large amount of very strong perfume and it was giving me a headache. We had to leave.

Food was great as per usual. Had difficulty on the website trying to book ahead rather than day of. It was difficult following the instructions given. Overall we will order again. However they may want to make the navigation easier for booking in advance on their website

Excellent value for money. Beef Stroganoff was delicious, the lamb curry was very tasty but a little on the dry side. The pavlovas were to die for!

While this was a pick up and we got the food when it was still hot, I was somewhat disappointed with the haddock with mango salsa. Either the salsa wasn’t included if it was in a Separate container or if it was to be in the waxed paper containing the fish, the mango taste was non-existent. I’m sorry, but I found the lunch very ordinary and overpriced. I thought the Pavlova was pretty nice and worth $8. I ‘m hot rushing back. Thank you! Rhonda St. John

Returning customer.New waitress was very nice but made mistakes.Forgot my soup. Salad was presented before sandwich. Sandwich was wrong but ate it anywsys. I ordered veggie sandwich but was given grilled cheese.Sisters bill was wrong. AND we were the only people in there. Was full when we left and she was the only waitress.She gave me a soup to take home.
