This restaurant is criminally underrated. I’ve been here a few times and each time my companions and I enjoyed each and every dish. I regret missing out on the seafood boil and their 10 year anniversary fish fry.

We went to Xaymaca to celebrate my Dad’s birthday this long weekend and our experience was great. We had a 5pm reservation and had the restaurant to ourselves. The table needed to be wiped off and there were crumbs on my chair but that was the only thing that comes to mind that could be improved on for our next visit. The waitress Gurgina was lovely and took great care of us. Met our every need and ensured we had experienced stellar service. The food was fresh, flavourful, and hit the spot. Portions were large so we all had leftovers. My Dad said the curry goat was the best goat he had ever tasted as it was tender and melted in his mouth. The oxtail was yummy but could be a little more tender with a couple more pieces. I had the seafood linguine with jerk lobster, shrimp and cod fish. It was absolutely delicious. My husband had the stuffed snapper with okra and veg. Everything with seafood tastes amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed the music, and overall had a great night. We’ll be back for sure with our points card. Thank you to Xaymaca for making my Dad’s birthday one for the books that he will always remember!

The owner was great he sang my mom happy birthday and the music and food were amazing. I wish the server was more attentive. A lot of times she was behind the bar on her phone while we were waiting on drinks or cutlery.

My party was running late; I was a bit anxious about it, as I didn't want us to lose our reservation. I called Xaymaca, and was calmed before I could even speak to a live person. I was greeted by the most authentic, true-to-culture, voicemail I have ever heard in my life! Additionally, the hold music was a whole vibe too. The person I spoke to was kind and friendly, and allowed me to adjust my reservation with ease. From the drinks and food to the service and ambiance, it all met expectation. That was my fourth time at Xaymaca; they will definitely see me again! Thanks Xaymaca

We came to eat here during a cousins stay in Toronto. She was raving about the food the whole time she was eating it. She had the steamed fish, festival, plantian. I myself ordered the festival and plantain to start. Plantain was sweet and cooked well, i like a little char on it. I also had the steamed fish with steamed veggies and rice. Every bite was delicious and satisfying. My ex (Buju if you were there you know) had the coconut & shrimp pasta also raved about his meal. My daughter and a friend had the oxtail dinner and oxtail goat mix dinner, also incredible flavours, our plates were clean. My sons gf had the alfredo jerk pasta she loves alfredo and she ate it all. Someone else had the seafood boil and it was also quite good. Feeback: I booked a reservation but when I arrived the staff looked confused as there was not a table set aside for us. We ended up waiting 20 minutes for one to get cleaned to accommodate the size of our dinner party. They did allow us to stay beyond 10pm closing time so it makes up for having to wait. I tried calling the restaurant to change the time of the booking but no one answers the phone. Voice mail is full Thank you for the wonderful food and great service, we will be back
