Welcome! BaseCamp Iron Fish is a village of individual heated, waterproof, breathable canvas tents.
Guests can be cozy while enjoying spirits, cocktails and farm fresh wood fired pizza and snacks.
When you arrive:

If you are unable to reserve a tent, you are more than invited to visit us on a first come first come basis in our new StillRoom indoor dining area!

- Pets are not allowed in the tents, however we will have tables outside of the tents by fire pits where pets are allowed on leash. Tents are heated and we also provide sanitized blankets.

Everything was great, as always, but I wish the $10 teepee rental fee would be eliminated or credited to my bill. This year the fee felt superfluous given the restaurant was empty when we arrived for our 6:15 reservation.

We stay at Crystal mountain once a year in the dead of winter for a girls getaway trip coming from the Kalamazoo area, Iron fish is one of our favorite places and this is the second year we reserved a tent at basecamp, and will continue year after year. Bernie is was our server and we was phenomenal. Very friendly and helpful. Wood fire pizzas are prime! great drinks as always too :) we love iron fish and we'll be back!

Best thing we've done in 11 months! Food was on point, the service was amazing, staff were SO nice, the atmosphere was amazing. this 40 year old mom was so happy she was looking at tik tok thanks to her teens and saw this come up! Well worth the $15 reservation fee! Also COVID measures were amazing. We haven't been out to dinner in a year, this was our first try, it was the BEST!!!!

Only thing I would suggest is no metal chairs in the teepees even if they are covered. In our northern michigan winter it was a bit cold on the booty. Grateful for the wooden chairs for sure!

We have visited Iron Fish a half-dozen times since spring and enjoyed it very much each time. The staff is friendly, the liquor is good, the food (especially the cheesy garlic flat bread) is good and the ambiance is great. Everyone(!), guests and staff are glad to be there. Now that it is winter, the tents are a great addition, though I look forward to being able to sit out by the fire pits and bring the pup. Big thumbs up to Iron Fish. Personal wish list - some wine on the menu would be nice - my wife is not a real liquor drinker....

We had a great time with delicious food and drinks! The only comment we would have is that the tent was pretty cold this year and the weather wasn't even that cold outside. I feel that it was set colder than when we have come in years past. But overall we still had a fantastic time - thanks!

My experience at Iron Fish was excellent. But the Table Agent app seems to be a rip-off. Upon arrival they were surprised I could make a reservation and had to double check to see if it was even possible I had one. And when making the reservation the app indicated I could only reserve for a 4:45 PM reservation, however the place was not nearly full and I could have been seated much later if I just walked in (as others were without reservations).
So the rating for the Table Agent app is zero.
$10.00 wasted so beware.

A really special place! A fire outside with individual heated tents for dining. Surprisingly warm, and intimate! Food is always excellent, however a limited menu. Service was very professional and consistent between servers and hosts. Time between service was a little out of sight out of mind in the tent, but still ok. Pricey, but one of a kind, its worth it!

Base cam is a great winter experience. Spend 90 minutes with your friends/family and try the craft cocktails and excellent flat bread and pizzas. Explore a flight and augment the collection on your drinks cart. Great time had by all.

Everyone had a wonderful time
Even though it was pretty cold outside, inside the TeePee was very comfortable....out of the wind...with a nice warm heater....Great drinks, Good food...with excellent service..Just a very relaxing way to spend time with family in a more intimate setting....Will be back again soon...
