Excellent, except I’ve given ambience a slightly lower score as I’ve found the room too dark whenever I’ve dined personally but a bulb may have gone out this time so didn’t help. Maybe an extra light on the table.

We always love coming to El cafe, so when we have friends over we always want to show them how great our tapas restaurant is. The quality of the food is always second to none, the amount of food is always very generous. There were a couple of small things that we thought were not up to the usual high standards which we felt could have been avoided. The beer choices on the drinks menu was great but sadly there were a few not available and not mentioned at the time of giving us the menus. Also we were asked if we’d like some complimentary olives and nuts which we did but then had to ask for them as they didn’t arrive. Only a couple of small things but as we are regulars we noticed these things and thought worth mentioning. It hasn’t and won’t put us off going again so hopefully the two things mentioned will be improved on our next visit.

My friend and I love coming to the cafe. The food is always very good. We have the tapas. We try to vary them, this time we had the lemon chicken, mushrooms, and the calamari which were excellent. The service as always was very good. We always come to you at lunch time as my friend works full time it is convenient for us. Hopefully in the future you will be able to find more staff and open on more lunch times.

The only slight mark down on service was because we appeared to be forgotten outside for desserts, as the inside got busier. We were both ready to order but the moment was lost due to time taken to catch up with us. Would like to stress how very much we enjoyed everything else about our first time, food, ambience, fun, the welcome, all marvellous!! But you lost a further £15 by leaving us too long (pudding and cheeseboard) . Suffice to say that upon paying our £50 bill for supper for two, we were happy enough to leave a cash tip of 20% (£10) so all was very much mainly fantastic x

My wife and I had a great night with my two sons and their partners, great food, great service and many thanks to the chef and staff for accommodating my daughter-in-law's somewhat complex food allergies.

We had a very enjoyable meal as always, but there were a couple of things that weren’t quite right. When we ordered the pizza garlic bread we asked for it to be baked slightly longer as we preferred it crispier. When it came out it was still doughy in places so we sent it back. When it did return we had to pour the excess oil away as there was just too much on there. The food didn’t come out all at the same time either so there was a little delay. When we did get everything though it was delicious!
My hubby had I ordered a lemon posset and cheese and biscuits for dessert mine came out quite quickly but after 10 mins we had to ask for his. Think they forgot and were very apologetic when it did arrive.
Apart from these small errors we had a fabulous meal as always, we enjoy coming to El Cafe and will continue to do so, it’s still the best place to eat in Shipston!!

We had a lovely evening, food and service were really good. We took visitors we had staying with us and they loved it as well. It is always good to have somewhere to take visitors were you can rely on good quality food and service.
The only down side was that it was quite cold - we were sat at the table ahead of the front door

This was our first time at El Cafe. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were greeted with such warmth and friendliness. The food was wonderful (and there was plenty of it) and the staff, just the best! We will definitely be retuning soon.
