We really like this place and have eaten then a few times now. The pub/dining area is very attractive, the staff are always excellent, and make you feel welcome. We love the menu which has some quirky combinations, and the desserts are great. On another note, the toilets are always in good condition too. Parking is easy.

We brought our two dogs who sat under the table. Our main course was delicious and the chips hot and crispy - excellent. Part way through the meal one of our dogs was thirsty and I asked for extra water in the dog bowl - which I was readily given. We had a very enjoyable experience. Thank you.

Roast chicken was awful. Overcooked and certainly not 1/2 a chicken as stated on the menu. Roast potatoes were terrible. Pretty certain they had been reheated a few times. Cauliflower cheese was not seasoned at all.
To top it all our granddaughters meal arrived 10-15 minutes after ours was served.
Shame, as I like the pub. But we will not visiting again.

When you go somewhere and think I wonder if the food tastes as good as it looks ….. usually it doesn’t …. But here …. It actually does ! Portions were plentiful and food super hot and tastes so good, staff friendly and attentive and watching to see when you ready order or for next course…. Visited the Clarendon Arms for a family meal. Food was lovely and the customer service was outstanding. Had a slight issue which wasn’t really their fault, yet they did not hesitate to reduce the food bill and handled the situation impeccably, without question. The staff are very friendly and we had a lovely meal with friends. The fish and chips, chosen by two of us, were so good, with really crispy batter and the best tartare sauce I’ve ever had. The men both had the steak and Stilton pie which they said was really tasty and they loved the gravy. We only had one negative and that was that the prawn cocktails were served with sliced white bread, which is not very appealing and we would have preferred rustic whole meal or similar. Very good meal though and we will definitely return and recommend.
