Visited the Clarendon Arms for a family meal. Food was lovely and the customer service was outstanding. Had a slight issue which wasn’t really their fault, yet they did not hesitate to reduce the food bill and handled the situation impeccably, without question. In a world where customer service is lacking, it was a refreshing change. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

The staff are very friendly and we had a lovely meal with friends. The fish and chips, chosen by two of us, were so good, with really crispy batter and the best tartare sauce I’ve ever had. The men both had the steak and Stilton pie which they said was really tasty and they loved the gravy. We only had one negative and that was that the prawn cocktails were served with sliced white bread, which is not very appealing and we would have preferred rustic whole meal or similar. Very good meal though and we will definitely return and recommend.

Good selection of food on the menu. Quality of main courses chosen was excellent - very flavoursome and well presented.
The Eton Mess dessert was a little disappointing as was expecting more traditional berry fruits - proportion of cream served was a little overwhelming. No disputing the overall flavour, but more fruit would have been nice.

We had a lovely time at the Clarendon Arms - the restaurant was very busy, but the staff very kindly found us a different table, when we asked to be moved because of the noise from the next table and from the kitchen/waiter's station. They were also really helpful when my phone ran out of puff and they patiently set up 'Uber' on my husband's phone for him. The menu had a good selection of nice pub food, hot and tasty, and there was an OK selection of wines, and good beers for Him Indoors! The atmosphere was very relaxed and everyone was friendly and helpful. We'll definitely visit again if we are in the area.

Kerry was amazing, as ever, lovely lady, attentive, great attitude.

The Clarendon Arms was a last-minute booking for Mum's birthday. Our initial table wasn't great - but staff accommodated us admirably & we were moved to a better table . The room was a bit cold but otherwise a good alternative. The food was good quality, and the portions generous. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a super Sunday lunch !
