We were celebrating a birthday and disappointed that there were no wine glasses but plastic cups. If we were told that, we could have brought our own glasses. The 2 bottles of Delaney we got was not chilled enough. Maybe next time make sure they give us more ice to chill the wine enough.

The reason for our visit was to celebrate a special birthday of a friend. The ambiance, staff at the bar and the staff attending the tables were all wonderful. The really disappointing part was making a simple adjustment to our reservation. The picnic tables allow 6 people max and we had 2 additional guests joining our party. So naturally I called to make a reservation for a second table. After no answer on multiple occasions and no call back on a voice message I left, 2 days later I was able to talk to a real person. They couldnt help me add another table, they couldnt tell me if there are 2 tables available at the same time, they couldn't give a refund if we can't secure a second table at the same time, they couldn't guarantee that the tables would be next to each other or in close proximity, no plan what happens if its raining. Sure enough there wasn't a second table available for the same time of the day and the only way to find out is after you pay the reservation fee. No effort to even try to accommodate, all I was told was that nothing is guaranteed and members have priority. Once we got there with the first part of our party, with an hour difference between the 2 tables, we noticed that the adult section was 70% empty. An hour later the remaining guests arrive and they are not given a second table, they are sent to the same table that we already have 6 people on. We quickly asked for the second table and eventhough there are no other people seated around us, we are not even given the closest table so we can all celebrate together. Such a beautiful winery, but i would never plan a celebration there. Very poor customer service on the phone. So many similar businesses are going above and beyond, i would want to deal with this headache again. This was supposed to be a fun celebration. It shouldnt be that hard to make a simple reservation.

I wish that the $10 reservation fee had been used as a credit towards a purchase. Didn’t love having to pay to book. I can understand having the fee as a deposit and certainly keeping it for those that don’t show, but for those that do, a credit would have been kind. I was also disappointed by the no water rule. It is 100 degrees outside and you’re charging $2 for a bottle of water that I could purchase the entire 24 package for the same price. That’s ridiculous! I understand not wanting customers to bring in outside liquors and things filled in water bottles. I wish an unopened store bought bottle of water could have been considered. It is way too hot to not have patrons drinking water and the price of your water is far too high! Or, please consider complimentary water.

Overall a great job getting back open and entertaining. The wines are always great, the food truck rocks, and the music is fun. Recommend one easy improvement...the cheap plastic cups for wine are really disappointing. These are like rock bottom of the barrel quality but the wines are still normal full price. Recommend upgrading to a better quality plastic cup.

I had an incredible day. I felt as though all the safety protocols were taken really seriously. The views, atmosphere, and wines were fantastic. My only feedback is that my friend and I did the tasting flight and then we were interested in buying a bottle of something that was not part of the tasting. We asked the person at the counter if we could have a taste of the wine we wanted to buy and she said no because she would have to open a new bottle which didn’t make sense to me because that wine is sold by the glass but I didn’t want to argue so I just bought a bottle of wine we had already tried. Other than that it was a fantastic day and I plan to return again.

This past time the seating in the tent was not as nice and not as warm as the previous time when were in the patio area not far from the singer. I was chilled most of the time, so I did not enjoy it as much. On the bright side with the breeze blowing through the tent, there was plenty of fresh air. We were at table 78. The water was turned off in the bathrooms in the barn, that was inconvenient. I thought that was the bathroom for all the patrons were suppose to use, so not my best visit.

The seating that was given to us was horrible. We were given a table with no umbrella in 90 degree heat. I left 30 mins after being there because of the heat and the food vendor was out of food.

Didnt like the experience one bit. The family area is more like an after thought as it is the furthest from the vineyard and the view that you have is a parking lot and mulch. You cannot hear the live music from there and looks like i got one of the non shady areas even though i was there at 11am. Pretty disappointed in the whole experience, will probably try it again once the tours are resumed and everything is open. The pre packaged food was decent, but the food truck was about 15 minutes walking from the family area. Ended up leaving sooner than what i had planned as it didnt live up to the expectations. Also if you want drinks you need to walk to the bar which is another 5 minute walk, would have preferred to have service at the tables. Ended up spending over $100 in beverage sales but didnt feel like we got the experience. First time ever visiting a winery for us but it was a huge let down.

The food truck had a 40 minute wait (which is half of the allocated time slot for a table reservation) & we had to resort to eating crackers and cheese for lunch. Perhaps The Winery could consider having more than one food truck available . Another option would be partnering with food truck vendors to take orders in advance so they are better prepared to service the winery's customers.

FYI if you book the family friendly heated patio online, they give you the option of reserving for up to 6. When we got there, the host let us know that the max # of people is 4 not 6. Wine was great!Loved the Viognier and Cab France. The food vendor had a very long line so we didn't get to eat until two hours in.

Hello, It was a lovely visit. Our only complaint is the fact that more desirable tables sat empty the entire time we were there. We were on the courtyard in the sun and and asked to move under a fan, undercover. We were told people will show up. 3 tables sat empty under cover our entire visit, even after we strolled the property and looked at the vineyards for another hour. No one showed up. When we went to the wine bar, it was clear that many who made reservations did not show up for their picnic tables with a view, as well. Needless to say, we would have very happily moved back to our assigned table had the other guests shown up.
I understand your booking process and the desire to accommodate folks with reservations. Might I suggest that you also remain flexible depending on attendance and weather.

We ran into trouble because we had to go back and forth to the front check-in a couple times because with each table we were given to sit down at, there was already someone there. The front check-in didn’t seem to have an answer why or were helpful.
Eventually we did get a table, but it was clear people were switching tables on the fly or the front wasn’t keeping track.

We were randomly assigned a table under a tent, and when we requested to be moved to a table outside of the tent we were rudely told “no” by the ladies working at the checkin. It should be noted there were ~24 empty tables in our section, and many stayed empty throughout our stay. We could have been easily swapped.

The food choices did nor reflect what was being advertised for the day. The food truck was out of the supplies needed to prepare meals. The grass was extremely tall- considering the circumstances of life right now- people are making improvisions to accommodate the public. You would think the winery will cut the crass every weekend. It was scary to have the grass near my table above my ankels in 98 degree heat!!!! The wine prices went up? But you are charging a $10 reservation fee that does not get used towards your purchase? I feel taken advantage of. The outdoor bathrooms are convenient, but- just because they are outdoors doesn't mean they shouldn't be cleaned. While everyone figures out what the new norm will look like- it would be nice to consider patrons safety and satisfaction overall. Take a walkthrough - as a patron- see if you are pleased.

As soon as we arrived and were directed into the overflow lot, my discomfort skyrocketed. There are TOO MANY PEOPLE being allowed on your premises! I assume the driving factor is your goal to bring in as much money as possible -- all at the expense of your customers' health. Just because your dozens of tables are 6 feet apart doesn't mean it's safe. You are encouraging groups of friends to sit together at your tables; those groups are not related families. We almost left but decided to go get our reservation filled because we drove more than 40 minutes to get there. Your check in progress was chaotic and two things became very clear. First, your reservation process online is a joke. Very poor descriptions about where seating areas are actually located. Second, making a reservation doesn't actually reserve a specific table anywhere. We were very unhappy with the "barn patio" as our backyard at home has better ambiance. One of the staff told me it was a cool thing to sit there and have music piped through the speakers to jam to and I almost laughed because the music was horrible. Thankfully she didn't care if we just moved to another area, because again the reservations are basically meaningless. So we found a much more scenic and secluded spot where we could enjoy our plastic cup wine more safely. You need to seriously rethink your strategy of letting hundreds of people in all in the name of profit. You should check out Potomac Point Winery. They are doing a fabulous job and it's crazy but when you make a reservation you actually have a table, a clear map of where you'll be, and their food is fabulous along with the wine. I don't think we'll be returning to Bull Run any time soon. Too many people. Your wine is ok but not enough to surpass the overall experience you're currently presenting. Do better.

There was a table with 6 adults and 4 children next to us, we left 45 min earlier shortly after they arrived because they were walking within 2 feet of us and we weren’t comfortable how close they were and how many of them there were . Up until then other families were respectful of the space and it was a very good experience . . They just weren’t following the rules . This was our first outing so I think I was Also being extra paranoid. So I didn’t affect the rating . Just letting you know some patrons don’t follow the rules

Having to pay for a 2 hour reservation, which didn't include a glass of wine, that starts at 5 and is supposed to end at 7pm but then you're told you have to be off the property by 7pm is very disappointing. Not to mention them closing the bar for glasses of wine and food truck running out of food before 6pm. Not the best first impression.

We had a great day on Sunday June 7. Thanks for organizing your phase 1 operation so well. We enjoyed our visit! We did have one suggestion...table 19. This table was often swarmed by the bar line when we were there from 3 to 5 pm. People in line were really on top of us. I know the small hand out asked people to not form a big queue for the bar. However, they did. We’d suggest having staff monitor that and verbally redirect patrons, if possible. We did learn there were orange lines in the grass such that people should queue parallel to the building. However, this did not seem to happen. Staff could suggest people re-form the line parallel to and not perpendicular to the bar. Keep up the good work you are doing to help us enjoy your winery. Thanks!

The Winery did it's best to accommodate such a rush of people wanting to experience being outside. I think the only critique I had was the quality check on the tables. My table was already sat with other people. I asked them to move and they said they were two tables moved too. No one in our area was at the right table and it seemed people were moving because of the sun exposure.

We are so excited you are open again. We attended the members only soft launch and then again this weekend. We have two kids so we've been in the family area. The picnic tables are great and we enjoy hanging out. My only comment is in regards to the umbrellas. Twice we've been and twice our umbrella's have had trouble. One leaned so much I was afraid it would snap in half. Then yesterday our umbrella didn't go up at all. Just ask that you guys check on the umbrellas and replace if necessary. Sorry to be a pain. We do love it there and we can't wait to come back. This is really a small thing but thought we would mention it. Thank you so much!

The area where we got the table was not a good place to be. It was our first time and we wanted to be in the open area backyard or so. The food truck people were very rude to me. I had to have an ugly discussion with that woman because she delayed forever my order. She gave their food to customers who ordered after me. I was very upset because of that. I had to approach and asked what was happening with my order then she just grabbed from the back and gave it to me. I complained immediately and she couldn’t explained why she did that. I was very very upset for that. I Was the third person on line, my number was 3, and she delivered 4-7! Orders and not mine, I waited for 30 minutes to get 2 pork sandwiches. That’s when I went to her and .... that’s was ridiculous, terrible service and nasty food. It was already cold, greasy. Sorry to say but it was no a good experience for us.

My experience at the winery was very unpleasurable and distasteful. I was very excited about visiting the winery for the first time over the Valentine’s Day weekend. My initial contact with the staff at the front was great, we were assisted quickly and directed where to go and was informed that there were pre poured tastings available which was the reasoning for my visit. Once at the counter for purchasing the wine I inquired about wine tastings I was told by a woman at the purchasing counter that there were no wine tastings due to Covid but I was informed when entering the winery there were pre poured tastings. So I purchased glasses of wine of a single wine. Which I thought was odd since I was visiting for a tasting. Once going to the seating area where I was assigned I noticed other people had tasting flights. While sitting there enjoying my glass of wine with my partner I noticed other people coming to the seating area with tasting flights. I then returned to the purchasing counter and asked a gentleman about tastings and tasting flights. He informed me that there were tasting flights available for purchase. I was very upset that I was lied to by the first person who specifically told me there were no tastings. The first person could have informed me that there were tasting flights available for purchase. That situation really left a bad taste with me and tarnished my experience. This was my first time visiting the winery and possibly my last. I really wanted to have a great experience and future visits.

I was very disappointed we had to pay for a table. On top of that, the table was the same price as tables for 21 plus that had views. Our table had no view and was in the dirt. We had small children and the dirt/mulch was not good for them. I am also surprised that we were not allowed to bring in water. We paid for the table, no water was provided and we had to pay $2 for each bottle of water. The wine was okay. I was expecting an all white tasting and was given half white, half red. Overall, I was disappointed.

You should not be charging a reservation fee when no reservation is required in the first place. Thankfully I am a member and the reservation fee was refunded to me, but the way it was refunded in the form of money I still had to spend at the winery is a cheap way of running a place. Love the property. Hate how cheap the owner is. The wine is average, and over priced, The staff is well mannered, and aside from its location are the only 2 things saving this place.

Very nice Friday night at the Winery. We took our own picnic and reserved a picnic table in the lawn. There was live music. I would suggest that you bring a table cloth and also some other cups/glasses. The small plastic cups that they give you for your wine are not good.

I thought we had booked a table tasting under the shade.. when we got there we sat in general seating at a picnic table just like everyone who walked in, had to go to the bar and get our own drinks. Im not sure why we booked a table for $10 to get a $10 voucher to have to order ourselves. I wont be coming back or hosting any events until things go back to open. If I make a reservation for a seated shaded tasting, I expect a seated shaded tasting.

I was very disappointed to find out that we could not bring water in. We were forced to buy overpriced water beverages. They did not tell us ahead of time or mention this on the website. We only found out when we drove up and the man gave us a paper. The security guard checking my bag made me open up the bottle in my bad to prove to him it was empty. I did not appreciate that. If I knew I would have to leave my drinks in the car and have my bags checked and water bottles examined I would not have chosen this place. Please let your customers know ahead of time. That way they can make the decision to come or not.

I didn’t drink any wine while there but I did order water and sprite for my friend and I. The menu we were handed when we walked in said it was $1 for each item but I was charged double and paid $8 for two waters and two sprites. Other than that, we had a nice time and enjoyed ourselves.

This facility needs to get recycling bins in place ASAP. There is a tremendous amount of plastic(bottles and cups)being discarded daily. It's quite traumatic to see this. I hope the winery can address this issue by being environmentally conscious and recycle their plastics, cans and bottles.

overall great experience during covid re-opening. my entire party felt safe and relaxed throughout our stay. however, the wine pours were very small, especially for $9. for the size of the cups used, it should've been filled up most of the way. instead each pour was about 6-7 large sips, not at all equivalent to what you'd get if it were a wine glass - understand you can't use glass during covid but pours need to be larger. Finally at closing my friend and I encountered a very rude interaction between a staff member that was uncalled for. a family was exploring the space on the lawn, not making any attempts to sit down or anything, just looking at the grounds. a woman closing up the main building very rudely addressed them - "we're closed. it says so on the sign" - in a very condescending tone. completely uncalled for. and the time wasn't listed on the sign at the end of the walkway. it was literally 5 minutes after closing and there were many others besides this group walking to cars and milling about. the attitude and non-hospitality cast a negative impression at the end of what was otherwise a very lovely day. just be kinder. we're all trying to figure out how to return to "normal" right now.

Loved the whole experience at TWABR! We liked all their wines, except for one, which is pretty good for this area. The staff were friendly and down-to-earth. No snooty wine people here! The place is beautiful and relaxing, even with pandemic precautions in place. It was very busy the day we went, but you couldn't tell because they had so much space to spread groups out.

The ambiance was fantastic. The reservation process was smooth and the staff was friendly and accommodating.
I think it would be helpful to have the long list of entrance restrictions as part of the reservation confirmation instead of only upon arrival at the Winery.
I think it would be nice to have music piped in when the live music isn't playing.
I'll tread very carefully here, because this was the low point of the visit : The recipe and pricing for the pitchers of sangria needs improving. There is no correlation between what you pay and what you get. If you are going to charge $30 per pitcher is should have some fruit, triple Sec and a deeper flavor.

I was very impressed with the organization of the winery. I enjoy the winery especially now days when we still need to social distance. The winery is a great get away. We opted for a table in the covered patio, because of the risk of rain. We enjoyed the table but it was a tad too close to the music which was too loud for us to hear each other at our table #100. Maybe the speakers could be placed further out to project to the picnic tables and away from the nearby tables?

Requested a main patio with view seat (thinking this was going to be the upstairs patio because it said, "with a view". And we were seated at table 97 which is tucked away in the back and had no view, really, and my friend also has sensitive ears with ear surgery in the past and we were right next to the live music. Mostly upset that we didnt get the view that we reserved 1 week in advance for and were pushed in the back for a $10 reservation that is not refundable and also $10 that does not go towards any wine credit.
