There were four of us. The burger, fish & chips and pie of the day were all good. Chips were excellent. I had two starters as my main course. The ham hock and pea terrine was delicious but the bacon and stilton soup was very thin and lacked flavour. I did tell them on the night and they were grateful for the feedback

What a gem of a pub. Not only have they got great beer on tap but the food is amazing. We had the Thursday £10 offer of Rump steak with chips and salad and we weren't disappointed. Not only great value but the food was amazing too. We will certainly be coming back.

Gorgeous Sunday evening in the beer garden.

Very pleasant Sunday lunch. Eating in the garden was lovely, the food was generous and well up to standard.

It was obvious that the Venue had recently changed ownership and a new team was getting established. The Food , which is why you go there , was superb although a little slow on coming out of the kitchen. The Service certainly came with a Smile with a Capital S. very friendly. We all thought the food was great, my only criticism, l would have preferred my gravy separately. Only fault would be that we were put on a table next to 2 open doors, with a small baby this was quite cold and uncomfortable.

The staff were lovely very pleasant and attentive. The cutlery was mismatched and were given very small knives and forks.
We all had roast beef, unfortunately it was tough.
We've been going to the Plough for many years I hope they take on board these issues. We will be returning.
