We were warmly welcomed given a table slightly off main bar which was perfect as we had a toddler with us. Food was tasty and suited our requirements perfectly. Chef couldn’t have done more for us, much appreciated. Will return.

Delightful staff. Chose the 'small meal' option of fish and chips which was just the right amount for people with smaller appetites. Delicious apple and rhubarb crumble to finish a great lunch. My only suggestion would be to reduce the volume of music, or at least install a facility so that you can control the sound in each dining room separately. We shall be returning. Thank you!

Such a fantastic pub/restaurant. We had booked for 12.30 and were four friends meeting for lunch travelling from two directions. I had been to this pub the Friday before this visit and ordered the Calves liver it was absolutely amazing , so much so that I ordered it again. Unfortunately there must have been a different chef on because the potato’s were lumpy and watery and the liver was stringy. I would return again as we really like the staff and the ambience. But not sure I would eat there next time we visit.

Since Savino took over the pub it has gone from strength to strength and is becoming exactly what it should be, the heart of the village. Arrived earlier than booked but made to feel very welcome by landlord. He happily changed seating arrangements so that the six of us could be on a smaller table in the bar area, since we were fewer than anticipated.
We decided to share some starters: extremely good fried sea-food and everyone was pleased with their choice of main-course. Service was courteous and efficient.

The waitress was working behind the bar and serving the tables on her own until the end of our visit. The food was rather slow in coming out and they may also have been short staffed in the kitchen. However, the waitress was charming, unflappable and quite delightful and the food was superb.

Lovely village pub
We enjoyed the Thursday Steak night (2 steaks + included wine). The food was excellent with the best chips

Very pleasant host and good beer. Nice table and not too noisy for oldies like us! The steak and ale pie was very good, the vegetables a little bland for my taste. And the apple crumble was not tart enough - good crumble but the apples could have been more tasty. We wil return and sample other dishes.

The food was good .....we went on steak night so very good value. The only down side was they had a radio station blasting out of a speaker right over our table. I like background music but this was rather off-putting.

The food was the let down ,lumpy mash potatoes, cold pudding and not enough custard . It needs to improve the quality of the food .

Nice pub, good ambiance, helpful and cheerful staff but gammon was partly burnt and overcooked. It was a shame as the chips and green beans were absolutely fine.
