This was our third visit to this restaurant, each time was as good as the last. The menu changes all the time so you will never have a repeat meal.
Food is locally sourced and fresh as can be, it's a very small and intimate venue
we highly recommend you give it try.

We had a truly exceptional meal at Chataigne in Stourport-on-Severn. Every detail was flawless, the service was impeccable, the décor and ambience were perfect, and the food was some of best I have ever eaten. Chataigne are creating dishes of a very, very high standard with an astonishing attention to detail. This restaurant is on my doorstep, but it is worth travelling 100 miles for.

Nice ambience, good welcome.
Food was beautifully presented,small menu but good to see local produce used. Table/crockery very tasteful.

Small detail but for me I would like to have a covering at window so you aren't looking out onto the car park.

We had lovely choices of fabulous food, a great welcome and service. Felt unrushed. Music was good - liked the fact it was all instrumental.
The only reason for a 9 on overall experience was the steep steps to access building -BUt we understand it is an old building and nothing can be done about that.
We want to return on another occassion,

The starter was absolutely delicious and quite unique. We were rather disappointed with the pork belly. Really expected a small chunk topped with crackling rather than a slice of mostly fat. The overal plate was very tasty though. Deserts were fantastic.
The service was very friendly and efficient but being asked whether you want to leave a 15 or 20% tip for the owner (who is the person waiting on tables) was a bit much. I am more than happy to tip a waiter on minimum wage but the owner??
