I love going to Lot 88! I love the concept that your meal can be hot throughout the experience. What made this experience more special was the attentiveness of our waitress. It was our first time we were asked more than once if all was well and if we wanted anything. She needs to be a trainer to reflect what she does to all staff. We all loved Lot 88 and will definitely return, and also recommend it to friends. Only one thing, not a complaint, but we found it a bit noisy and harder to hear each other because of that. Not something though that would keep us away.

We couldn’t have been more pleased with everyone and everything! It was our first time there. We loved the restaurant, the ambience, the food but I have to say that the two young ladies that took care of us were extraordinary. They were friendly, inviting, cheerful and professional with an eye for details. When we walked out I asked my coworkers what time is it (our reservation was for 8:30) and it was 9:53 pm….I would have never known as the ladies never ever rushed us out or said that they were closing, asked us to pay our bills etc. I must say that we all were beyond impressed with our experience. Oh and the food…..OMG….fabulous!!!!! Thank you so much for such a wonderful meal and experience!

Overall my family enjoyed our first experience at Lot 88 Timmins. Initially we waited just over 20 mins for a server and had to request one as no one was serving our table. However once the server arrived she was apologetic and awesome. Bar was backed up so drinks did take some time. Cooking on the stone was so much better than I had anticipated. I thought my sides would get cold waiting for my steak to cook but the stone cooks so fast and well, it was awesome. Cut into strips or bite size as you go and each mouthful is warm and delicious. We enjoyed all of our food, service and overall atmosphere!

The only complaint would be that my Parmesan encrusted chicken was lukewarm compared to the mashed potatoes that were piping hot. Had a lovely experience at Lot 88. The food and service was excellent. The presentation of the food was perfect and served without haste, letting us linger over our food and wine. As luck would have it Thursday was half price wine night which was simply a bonus.
One comment about ambience. The booths are too small to comfortably fit four guests. Fireplaces in the booths are cute but sadly don’t give off any heat. Hope that changes with the seasons.

Our second time to Lot 88. Much prefer the booths with the fireplace - very nice touch! Creates wonderful ambience. First time we were seated in the front part. Is suggest blinds for the door and windows for dinner dining. Also, wait staff should automatically serve all customers with water upon seating. Had to ask both times for water. Had an margarita and wasn’t happy with it. Made from syrup - would suggest freaky made cocktails. Otherwise great!

We came the first week you were open at around 5:30. Ordered filet etc. and it was divine; so so tender. Food was hot, service was fast so no complaints I was excited to come back for my Birthday in Jan. We came for 5:15. Not busy. Ordered the exact same meal. It came lukewarm and the filet was nowhere as tender as before. We will return because we are happy to have a nice restaurant in town and want you to succeed. I asked my other friends (we were party of 6 both times) and they were disappointed as well. Also server should ask if guest knows what “ on the stone” means. My poor husband ordered salmon. By the time his salmon was cooked all his vegetables were ice cold. In hindsight he would not have ordered that. We will definitely be back. Please succeed! Happy New Year

Our server was amazing. She was very sociable and friendly. The restaurant was clean and quite busy. It was quite Smokey in the air (I’m assuming due to all the hot slabs) it was unpleasant.
The food was ok. I feel like for the price it could have been better. The side dishes were underwhelming and the vegetables served with the meal were under seasoned and cold. I think the overall experience was great as our city needed a new “fancy” place to eat because expectations were so high, it just seemed lacking. Not sure this establishment is worth going to more than once or twice a year.

3 of the times, we had to substitute our sides as they ran out. We are not hard to please but hoping that in the future, it does not continue to happen.
We find the drinks a little expensive but it wouldn’t stop us from going back.

Appetizer (Calamari) was underdone. Should have been crispy but bottom breading was soft. Ate half. It was unfortunate because the calamari seemed fresh and good tasting.

it was somewhat noisy when we arrived. More sports bar than dining room.
waitress was very peasant, but my dinner arrived 10-15 minutes after my wife's.
I had the hot stone. Dinner was good, but a bit crowded at the small table.
My wife's ribs were ok. Relatively small order and not as good as Montana's.
These comments are meant as feedback and not as complaints.
Overall, we enjoyed dinner.

The food was excellent, our server was great. But there were lots of mess ups with our orders. This is understandable with a new establishment and we were discounted for the mistakes. I would recommend either training staff more on menu items and table locations if they’re assisting servers or keeping food delivery to only the person specifically serving that table. There was also an inconsistency in steak sizes for the same cut of meat/steak size for meals at the same table.
