Chilly night and we were near the door, so blankets came into play. Brilliant menu, perfect for the weather with lots of warming and wholesome options. Owner and chef gave us a great rant about the perils of the cashless society, his sceptical views of global warming, Bill Gates, vaccinations and Guardian readers (we all are…) Loved it!

The food was scrumptious, really tasty, presented well. My partner really enjoyed his meal too. The service was excellent, we were told there was a delay but we didn't mind waiting as it was so good. The ambience of Cafe 52 was vibrant as always, such good music I couldn't fail to appreciate it. Value - gets a 10 out of 10, best thing was it was my partners turn to pay ;)

Great evening in a super venue lovely choices throughout whole menu. I think a little more seasoning in the red cabbage but very minor. Food was perfectly cooked. Fish was brilliant. Service was great through whole evening. The bill was a pleasant surprise and a real value for money meal.

It's always a fabulous experience dining at Cafe 52. It starts with a warm welcome from the lovely Ashley on arrival, a long, hard swithering over the eclectic menu, chatting to the friendly waiting staff as you order, then perusing the everchanging artwork with a cheeky aperitif while your food's being prepared - and when that arrives, it honestly never fails to delight, both in taste & presentation.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit with my friends to Cafe 52. The food was lovely but for me, rather big helpings. The cost must be the cheapest in town. All of the staff were very friendly going out of their way to chat despite being busy. The environment is relaxed and welcoming. Thank you so much.
