Lovely place. Wasn’t busy but food still all fresh and manager said if there was anything that we didn’t think was fresh enough, to let them know and they would make a fresh batch which was nice. Good value for money and better quality food than similar other places. One criticism would be deserts weren’t of a great standard and could be done with some improvement.

Wow, absolutely stuffed after eating at The Buffet The Academy Aberdeen at lunchtime earlier this week. Would definitely recommend, great value for money and the food was delicious and staff were constantly ensuring it was being topped up. The premises were really clean with fun interior designs and the staff were all welcoming and friendly. The only negative part was me offering to drive, or I would have been able to give you feedback about the cocktails.

Food as very tasty and with a great choice of dishes. Since it's a Chinese buffet I found it strange that a choice of 2 pizzas was available Why? I found it difficult to make up the duck spring pancakes in the small space beside the dim sum and the pancakes were stuck together in the steamer and difficult to separate however I'm sure these could be rectified with a bit more planning. Definitely glad we went and would recommend.

My third visit here, and to be honest very disappointed this time, starters were very good but the rest was poor quality cuts of meat and tasted fake or reformed especially the beef dishes, and not much seafood dishes either. Overall standards are slipping and don't think we would return.

We had booked a table in advance and on arrival it wasn't ready and cramped us in to a corner too close to the table behind us and had to keep asking the people to move their chairs so we could get in and out, the food was a good selection, but one dish tasted like dish soap

Hair in food was not ideal - in 2 dishes we saw. When my friend mentioned it, it was just ignored. No staff member explained how the buffet worked.
Ice-cream was too hard to scoop out the containers.

New buffet restaurant in Aberdeen – Love a buffet and wanted to try it.
Clean and pleasant restaurant. Good start.
Good selection of starters. Duck was really tastes. Soup was spot on
Mains. Mainly Chinese and pizza. Everything I tried was spot on. There was a prawn dish that perfect but was empty when I went for seconds and didn’t get refilled.
Chicken curry, sweet and sour, ribs, spring rolls, rice, noodles and chips. Couldn’t fault the main.
As good as any Chinese takeaway I have been to.
Desserts. Now here is where it fell short of expectations. Chocolate fountains was a nice touch.
The ice cream was in tubs but it was rock hard and almost impossible to get out of the tubs.
No ice creams sauces!
The sections of cake/desserts were poor. They were mostly small packets of shop bought cakes from packets.
A wide selection but poor quality.
A small section of cheesecakes, pavlovas or fudge cakes would have been better.
Price was good. We went on a Tuesday in January and they offered us 20% discount. So around £12.50 for lunch and £3.80 for soft drinks.
At that price I would be back most weeks. At full price I will be back less often.
Children over 11 years are charged as an adult. Please rethink your policy.
My 11 year old ate mainly chips and ice cream. Not remotely worth £12.50 for that.
Overall, a good experience. We will be back. Fix the problems and we will be back a lot more often.
