Lovely place for either meals or coffee and a scone etc.
Always find that staff can’t do enough for you and are very friendly.
Use this restaurant quite a lot and the free tea/coffee vouchers are a bonus.

We booked so we wouldn't have to queue. Unfortunately there was a long queue to order & I had to leave my elderly Mum sitting on her own. When it came to paying I had cash in my hand & was told I needed to pay by card as they had no change. Very poor service

We really enjoy coming to Mains of Drum. This time however my husband ordered a sweet and then was brought out the wrong one, then told there was none left of what he had ordered - it felt a bit muddled and he waited ages to order it. Also my brother loved the roast beef but he often finds the vegetables are way to hard to eat. We love veggies. Please soften them up so they are not wasted. We pay for all the food not just the meat. The soups and scone were lovely.

Only negative point is they are still only allowing 1-1/2 hour slots and must be prebooked. This is the only restaurant/cafe that is still doing this in the area. Would be better if you could pop in at anytime.

I have given full marks from everything . I bought my family & all three generations thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas lunch . We were greeted in a courteous manner & were actually very early for our booking but not a problem at all . All the tables were spaced out & we were the only ones at the self service counter . Food was lovely thank you . I am so sorry that Covid is preventing you fill your dining area with happy & satisfied customers as we did miss the buzz of business . Happy Christmas to you all . Food very disappointing on this visit.
My cheese and red onion panini was very sparse on the cheese. Panini wasn't toasted enough to melt cheese and red onion was raw so had to pick it all out. I ate one half but decided to return the other half to get it toasted which was done but no apology!

We were squashed in next to a very large table full of lots of children. Know one was in control of these children. Even with adults with them. They were running about,with no masks or taking them of as they nearer to. They nearly all went up to see what pudding they wanted. Even the women incharge of the children kept getting up without putting her mask on a run past our table a few times. It was horrendous being next to this table if it was normal time. I realise that you are making more money of the size of this table. Than ours. Your ladies that place people at the table kept looking over but did absolutely nothing. When you are taking customers in are you not responsible for the safety of all customer. I have taken a long time to reply to this email. Because I am truly upset. And in all good conscience go out, until we are clear there was plenty of tables that were empty that your staff could have put us there

Our group meets every month and we pick Drum .This was the first time that some of us got their meal really late , others had finished the main course and 4 others were waiting and getting to the stage that they wanted to cancel the food, spoils the lunch. One of my favourite places to meet friends. Staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. Perhaps a wee variation on the panini/sandwich fillings??? Coronation chicken maybe?? Lovely as always but they really need to speed up the coffee making it’s so slow and causes a long line waiting to be served. Don’t know if it the machine or if it the way they staff the machine and cash desk. There seems to be plenty staff so maybe just need to change the way they are used.

We felt very welcome and were pleased with the service. However, we found the soup (broth)we had extremely salty and my sister couldn't eat hers. She did report this to the waitress who removed our dishes.
