Food was lovely and served quickly but once served we were abandoned. Tried several times to get attention of the staff as we wanted more drinks but despite having lots of staff on they were all just interested in clearing dishes and seemed to be deliberately avoiding eye contact with customers. Felt like they were all just clock watching to get home quickly

We have always really enjoyed coming to Drum for our coffee/lunch ,but we will look forward more to coming when the booking system is scrapped ,we find it too regimental now and has spoiled the atmosphere

There was a deal on at £5 for breakfast rolls and a coffee which was a good offer. However, when it arrived we got a cold roll with bacon that had been cooked well before we got it and a poached egg that was not cooked. The white was still raw in places. Not the high standards we expect of the Drum.

My husband and I enjoyed having lunch at the restaurant. I don’t really like burger much but decided to try the one on their menu and I wasn’t disappointed. It was juicy and delicious. My husband also enjoyed his mince and tatties very much. Will definitely go back some other time.

I’ve always been a regular in Drum, either looking round the garden section, but more often, enjoying coffees or lunch in your lovely restaurant. I’ve been most impressed with the procedures introduced to help prevent the spread of this dreadful virus. Hand sanitisers and social distancing has been well maintained and being able to book online is a bonus.
I feel totally safe and comfortable whilst in the restaurant. Staff are very attentive whilst welcoming you and then escorting you to your table, first class service, thanks for a perfect dining experience Drum staff.

Had to queue to get table despite booking.
Then had to queue again for 20 -25 minutes to get food. Far too long, considering you only have an hour!
Not relaxing. Too much emphasis on procedure. Menu limited and tired.
Also from previous visit- no breastfeeding room for parents and babies. In 2021 this is astounding. You have more than enough space to provide this comfortably and it would encourage more young families.
Whole set up needs modernised. Used to visit regularly and give restaurant and shop lots of business but no longer find it a pleasant experience.

We went for breakfast for my husband's birthday treat as he like going there.My one problem was being shown to the table and given menus I then had to go back and stand in line again for 10 minutes to order which meant we had waited to check in and then had to wait again behind the people just getting coffee and scones.The staff were efficient and very helpful but maybe this is something that could be looked at although we realise it has not been easy for you.Maybe , a large breakfast menu placed at the waiting area ,then one person could order while other is seated. Only a minor problem but my husband wondered where I had gone to!

Afternoon tea at Mains of Drum was really lovely perhaps if there was a special area for this experience that would’ve made it even better ,luckily we booked ahead and there was a table set for us at a window seat, we weren’t asked until we were finished if everything was ok, we appeared to be the only table at that time having A/noon tea so this is why I mentioned it that aside we really enjoyed our tea every thing was so fresh well done

As I live on Deeside, the Mains of Drum is a convenient place to meet with friends from Aberdeen. The restaurant is roomy and airy, the tables well spaced. The cakes, scones and traybakes are nice. However, the service is poor. I have only ever seen one hot drink station open. This can mean waiting in the queue for 10 minutes or more during busy times, especially when only one member of staff is making specialist coffees.

We visited the restaurant last Saturday 19th July. As always food (Cullen Skink) was amazing. We then ordered two desserts and waited at our table for almost 15 mins. My husband went up to enquire and was told they would be brought. It was another 5 mins before they came. They are pre prepared desserts so shouldn’t take that time. Disappointing end to a nice meal .

I was with my Nephew and his partner from Dornoch where the Mains of Drum is our favourite garden centre to visit. We can always be sure of a warm welcome from the friendly staff and plenty of variety in the menu, It's also a good place to shop if your looking for that special gift for someone. I make appoint of making regular visits during the year and I can't see next year being any different.

Everything was perfect for myself and my octogenarian Mum!
Maybe one round of sammies instead of two!! (Didn’t stop us devouring them!) The staff were fab and gave us a take out carton for the surplus cake for my hubby!

We were squashed in next to a very large table full of lots of children. Know one was in control of these children. Even with adults with them. They were running about,with no masks or taking them of as they nearer to. They nearly all went up to see what pudding they wanted. Even the women incharge of the children kept getting up without putting her mask on a run past our table a few times. It was horrendous being next to this table if it was normal time. I realise that you are making more money of the size of this table. Than ours. Your ladies that place people at the table kept looking over but did absolutely nothing. When you are taking customers in are you not responsible for the safety of all customer. I have taken a long time to reply to this email. Because I am truly upset. And in all good conscience go out, until we are clear there was plenty of tables that were empty that your staff could have put us there

it is a great venue - open and airy. The food choice is good and I was very pleased that I could choose a small portion of the macaroni cheese. It was tasty and the chips and salad that came with it were good - it would have been better if the food had been hotter temperature wise. The staff were helpful and cheerful. I would recommend a visit and will definitely be going back.

Always enjoy a visit to the Main’s of Drum restaurant; the staff are always welcoming and the food consistently very good.
