8ARM is a restaurant in a sprawling ranch-style building, divided into four spaces: // Our main dining room is a light and airy, full service Restaurant featuring locally and responsibly sourced food, inspired by the heritages of our culinary staff, ranging from the American South to Mexico, Vietnam, and Poland. A lot of our dishes feature house-ground masa from our in-house masa program. // In the upper level of our building we have a Natural Wine Bar. Set in a small, dark, cave-like room, where our somms play records with one hand while pouring wine with the other. The space is great for dates, very small groups, and anyone looking for adventurous wine, funky wine, fruity wine, dry wine and sweet; wine from neutral barrels, clay or steel; wine from new and old vines and places. We have classic styles from the early champions of natural wine and plenty more from up-and-coming cult stars. // Our award-winning cocktail bar is housed in a shipping container on our patio, which is covered, as well as enclosed and heated when weather demands. This lively space features a cocktail menu that changes frequently, if not daily, featuring local and regional spirits and in-season produce. This space is also where we host a variety of events, including the best party in Atlanta: Chaka Khan Hacienda, along with pool parties, goth danse, and more. // Sidepiece is our outdoor kitchen with a wood-fire grill, featuring a to-go menu of tacos, tamals, cha gio egg rolls, and more.
a delight. The cocktail menu inspired. The quality of the cocktails live up to their ingenious names and descriptions, which is so often not the case in many instances. The creative, flavor bending ideas behind the legumes, pastes, seasoning and pairings were so heartwarming to discover, one after another as they land on the table. We ordered everything on the menu but the steak and the egg. We think we did the right thing, although we'd love to go back and try those. oysters were offered raw or broiled with a cheve butter. We couldn't decide so we order some of each. The one mistake we made was to order the pink Pet Nat (Tete Rouge Free Mouse) after the oysters. Please drink it with the oysters if you love them. It was sparkling and magical in any case but.. The atmosphere is cozy and comforting. I was obsessed with a particular ceramic lamp by the front door, the mural by the kitchen and the tinted lighting out the back windows. Go there. We realized there was a 4 page write up about the chef's brilliance in Bon Appetit this month. We already had made the reservations so we were feeling pretty well pleased with ourselves.
