Pierpoint opened in October 1989 as a casual fine dining restaurant. The restaurant was the brainchild of Chef Nancy Longo who wanted to serve contemporary Maryland-style food to Marylanders as well as out-of-town guests so they could rediscover the bounties of the Chesapeake.
