Every year or so, I organise a curry for around 20 former colleagues. I submit the food order a little in advance to make things easier. Tony and his team then provide us with excellent service - I don't know how they bring it all together so efficiently, with 20 different orders! And the food is excellent too. All my friends say how much they enjoy the occasion and keep coming back. The only problem? The Chicken in Black Pepper Sauce is so good I find it very hard to come here and order anything else! We visited House of Flavours in Reading for an old friends reunion as I was delighted with the whole evening; from the point of reception; very friendly, we were shown our table quickly and offered drinks immediately to ordering the food - the menu is superb, so varied and my choice was so enjoyable (Chicken Tak-a-tak). The prices were reasonable and certainly value for money today. We were not hurried at any time - we lingered for a time afterwards and we were waited on for further drinks. Overall an excellent and very enjoyable experience - thank you.

It's quite pricey, punjab chole masala was not up to the mark. It was quite salty also.
Staters quantity is small. The water doesn't turn up regularly to ask if anything is needed, guess they get busy when it's full.

The food here was so fresh and tasty. We started with poppadoms and chutneys and then had Onion Bhakti and Samosa Chat both really fresh and tasty. We then had Chicken Jalfrezi and lamb chops with rice and bread. One of the best Indian restaurants we had eaten at. Blyton our server was amazing and could not have done enough for us. Thank you. We will be back.

The only reason that I marked down the Ambience was that there was a very noisy party on the table next to ours which made it very difficult to interact with my party. We all had a great time, and really enjoyed our company evening meal. The reason for the slightly lower marks are:
Service - There only seemed to be two waiting staff working, and they were rushed off their feet. There were a few times that we had to repeat our requests for drinks and food items.
Value - 5 of us ordered a banquet menu, but were surprised that we were only able to add additional dishes based on the fixed menu. Having a choice to order something different (considering we were paying £25 per person) would have been nice. Also, we were not informed that extra rice and naan were included from the outset, only when we'd run out of naan.
The two points aren't major issues by any means, but in the interest of providing honest feedback I have mentioned them. Overall, we had a fantastic time and will surely be returning in the near future.
On a separate note, it may be worth offering corporate rates for large party sizes as an incentive.

This was a team meal and we all had a really lovely experience. Service was a bit slow to start with, but we arrived at different times which made things a bit difficult for the staff. We were the only people in the restaurant so felt very well looked after. The team were in no rush and therefore took the time to enjoy the atmosphere. The Starters as the title states was full of flavour. The combination between Chilli heat and flavour was balanced to perfection. I would definitely return to try the other dishes on the menu.

Flavours make us all feel so welcome, especially when we turned up with 4 more people than we'd booked for. There was no issues, they just pushed tables together for us.
The food and accompanying service was amazing - everything (and I think between us we ordered most of the menu) tasted fabulous!

We had a great time, specially because of food. It is actually a house of flavour when it comes to authentic Indian food. If you are familiar with Indian food or have Indian taste palate, you should surely try this place. I have been to many fine dinings Indian restaurants but they are fooling people around with the name of Indian food. We were there on weekend, as it was quite busy and food waiting timing was around 45 minutes, therefore I would recommend to order your main course along with starters or once you receive your starter. Will save time. Hope it helps.
