Really loved the food and atmosphere!
We have been to the Bell many times and despite the current difficult times, Scott and the team ways make you feel welcome and at home. The food and drink were up to the normal excellent standard. I would recommend The Bell wholeheartedly.
The Bell have it all. From reception to food, drink and settling the bill. I highly recommend The Bell
Liked new menu, staff very helpful
Beautiful steak
We have used the Bell for many years and have always enjoyed good ale food and ambiance- just a great pub
Really enjoyed our meal at The Bell. Service was great and food was delicious. Most importantly, even on a freezing cold night it was a pleasant temperature inside! We would definitely return back.
As ever the Bell didn’t disappoint. In current times it all feels safe and organised. The food was delicious and there’s a good selection of different beers.
Covid secure. Excellent friendly service. Good choice of beer and ciders, and the food is of the finest quality and expertly prepared. Some of so-called posh high end restaurants should send someone to eat there to see how it’s done!
To perfect to share....
A great welcome in these testing times
This is a beautiful old pub. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and our drinks were served just as we like them. We will definitely visit again when we are next in the area.
The food and service were absolutely excellent - we loved everything.
Been my fave pub food for about 20 years.
Great pint of beer and the mussels were delicious
We enjoyed a great lunch with excellent beers and wines. Service was fast and friendly. The pub has introduced sensible safety and sanitation measures. Looking forward to visiting again.
Even in this new era, the Bell does it right. The benefit of a large garden helps.
Good pub, good grub with fine ale, even when the one I was drinking ran out they provided a test glass of a new one to try. Would highly recommend a visit.
Hey it’s my local, it’s a great place!!
A terrific place for a pub meal or real ale. I recommend it highly. So much so, our neighbours went there the following day! Ambience score would have been 10 too I am sure if we had eaten in the garden and not at the front! Next time!
Excellent COVID systems in place very welcoming staff knowledgable about the beers available , lovely food a small menu choice which shows their faith in the quality food provided . They did not disappoint- would happily return & recommend to others
Love The Bell. Post Lockdown set up works really well.
We had a fabulous lunch!
Super lunch. Relaxed and pleasant. Good service too.
Wonderful as always
All very good. So glad that you are now open again, we have missed being able to pop out for a snack lunch. Well done.
The Bell and all involved are wonderful .
Thanks to Scott, Iain and the team who worked really hard to make the customer experience the best they can within the constraints of the new restrictions. Food and beers were as excellent as ever albeit with a slightly smaller choice of both. The need for full table service placed a huge burden on the small team who worked tirelessly to keep up with everyone's needs and managed to keep smiling throughout. A very good first post-lockdown pub night out.
Excellent evening. Booked in advance and they were great in reserving us a table on the patio. Staff we really friendly and helpful, keeping their distance and cleaning everything down between use. Food was tasty and the cider was great - a perfect post-lockdown trip to the pub.
So good to get back to our favourite pub. We will be back again soon. Well done all staff at the Bell.
Great pub in ever aspect. Long may it live on as there are very few left like it
Great to be eating out again. reassuring with the pub adhering to the best practice rules.
Sunday lunch was proberbly the best I have had anywhere beautifully presented and came out hot Thank you for a relaxing afternoon .
Lovely to be back
The Bell is back. Food was fabulous, service is great! Atmosphere was perfect!!
Simply the best pub in the world, serving great beers
Great pub, Great food, Great service, Great atmosphere.
Lovely!!
Very pleasant drink in the garden served with a smile
Lovely pub, great service and staff but sadly the lamb at £19.50 was very chewy and not a pleasant experience and the meals were barely warm.
I did not go into the pub itself so cannot mark ambiance. The garden and village setting are quite lovely
First visit and a genuinely pleasant evening with good food and excellent, friendly service. Will definitely return soon.
The service was fine and friendly. I thought the range of food was a bit thin and a bit pricy. Offering cheese on toast with no garnish at all is a bit cheeky. I thought the portions were a bit small but the quality of the food was good. I would suggest a wider range of slightly more conventional pub food might be more appealing to customers.
The Bell never disappoints, whether just there for a pint from their ever interesting ales or for dining. It’s a relaxed unfussy ambience with old village character. On this occasion the Sunday lunch menu was limited due to kitchen staff shortage but that’s a blip in my overall experience of The Bell. The barman/waiter (Chris) seems unfazed during hectic periods, running around like a whippet yet always with a cheery greeting in his familiar manner. Hope the place never changes.
We did not eat therefore no comment Othetwise excellent evening
Could do with an option to rate the beer (10)
Great to be back at The Bell at long, long last. New distancing does feel a little odd inside the pub at first. Outside in the sunshine with 6 people per (large) table is almost like back to "normal" - Thanks Scott, Iain, Chris and all of the staff..Cheers
Staff and food were great and really enjoyed being back in the pub. Ambience can't be the same of course, but we will definitely be back!
Sat outside on the patio, very wrapped up. When it started raining we moved to covered bench seating - good to have that option!
The ribeye steaks were delicious . Not the best table though - a bit chilly .
