The Birdcage was created as the ultimate ode to Bermudian cocktail culture while honoring our local flavors, the environment and Bermuda’s unique history. We love and respect our island and draw inspiration from everything around us from fresh natural ingredients to our namesake landmark (just look out on Front Street!). The Birdcage was created in the 1962 by Bermuda’s first city engineer, Geoffrey 'Dickie' Bird, who constructed “the cage” to protect policemen directing traffic.
