Myself sister grandchildren loved it they had lovely time plenty to keep them occupied food was excellent Only two small points I think plastic glasses would be better as I was worried they may break them and the three year old his beans would have been better in a pot but I forgot to ask for that but otherwise excellent day and will definitely tell people of our lovely experience and will book next year

My jacket potato was the best one since change of management happened - don’t know if it was a different type of potato but it was very much better than other ones over the past year which have been pretty tasteless (the actual potato, not the toppings etc). It was also good to have a vegan print-out. We have vegan and gluten free dietary requirements within our family and it would be good to have separate menus that match the main menu in design. It is so difficult to eat out when eating restricted diets and feeling considered and included is very important. Thank you - it was a very good lunch yesterday and, apparently, the mushrooms were excellent!!!

Sorry to hear you haven't enjoyed the jacket potatos over recent months; upon changing hands last year, we made the decision to buy in fresh potatoes from a local greengrocers rather than frozen ones, and I will pass on your feedback to the kitchen. Glad you enjoyed your jacket this time, though! We have a new menu starting this week, which has a few new jacket potato toppings upon popular request :) As you said, we have a typed list of dishes that are either vegan or can be veganised upon request, and we will look into printing it officially with a similar design to the main menu as you've suggested. We are also going to do this for our gluten free options as well. Looking forward to your next visit, Amy and Carole

They need to put the correct name on the outside of the business no where outside did it say the name of the current cafe only the previous name of ‘cute’

Hi, usual excellent service with a smile! My omelette was a little dry … this is unusual so I didn’t mention it. It was Friday lunchtime so it was very busy.. found it a bit too noisy but nothing can be done about that .. I will avoid busy periods in future . Look forward to visiting again soon !

Apart from my toast being a bit over toasted (burnt in places), the acoustics a bit echoey ( we struggled to hear each other over the table), a little more expensive than other cafes we frequent; the service was great and attentive, the welcome was warm and professional. There’s a good ambience. Liked the online booking system. Food good, drinks ok. The decaf coffee was very bitter - did give feedback about it at the time. Husband says sausages don’t seem as tasty as what they used to be! The door situation is, as usual, frustrating, with most people not bothering to close it. The specials board by the door was only noticed after we had made our food order!!! I like coming here especially now the atmosphere is less frantic than under previous ownership. Best jacket potatoes in town! Thank you for your hard work - I know it isn’t easy!

The cafe and food are excellent. Very friendly staff but the wait was very long for lunch, an hour after we ordered. Would go again though as food is amazing.

My son and I came in for a breakfast treat in Saturday morning. We had American pancakes and French toast. Food was lovely. Welcome was great. Coffee was perfect. The only little niggle was that it was a treat to catch up with my son who is home for the weekend from university. And table 6 was very close to a young couple who had a toddler. I’ve been there myself. But it was difficult to relax and hear each other talk. Maybe I should have requested a quiet corner to catch up. But overall lovely experience. Thank you.

Many visits but this one seemed very hectic . Lovely food .

Lunch time on Friday and Saturdays are our peak times and can get exceptionally busy, so if you prefer a quieter slot you might prefer slightly earlier/later in the day or Monday to Thursday lunch times. Every time we have been it’s been brilliant, however our most recent visit food not quite so good , could be just a one off , but it won’t stop us coming again .

Bacon very fatty and undercooked . We are used to coming and the restaurant being full with a nice atmosphere but it was exceptionally quit with more staff than customers which is very worrying.
