Welcome to Dinner At The Farm! By signing up for an evening meal at Ancient Ponies Farm you are giving me the opportunity to practice my culinary skills as I experiment with local ingredients to create nutritious, nourishing, aesthetically pleasing and (hopefully) delicious meals. Through this project, come harvest time at the farm, I aim to have developed a mental encyclopedia of recipes and ways of working with the abundance of farm fresh ingredients we'll have available. A unique aspect of this dining experience is also the fact that, prior to arriving to dinner, you don't know who you might end up eating with! Meals are served at one big table that can accommodate up to 8 people. In any given night you might find yourself sitting next to an old friend or, alternatively, have the chance to share a meal with a someone new to you in the community. In my experience cooking so far, I have tended to favor Mediterranean style cooking (who doesn't love a good Ottolenghi recipe?) but am giving myself free rein to experiment with all kinds of flavors and ingredients. That said all meals (3-5 courses including desert) can be adjusted to your dietary needs and preferences. Please reserve time at least 72 hours in advance so I have to time to plan the meal. Friday evening dinners will always include freshly baked challah bread :). There is a suggested donation of $30/person to help cover the cost of ingredients and other cooking expenses. Thank you for your help in providing me with this chance to work on my skills as a chef! Each meal will be prepared with lots of love.
