With our own chef, the meals a more interestingly varied than in many other institutions for elderly. Sited to an adjacent university, many of the wait staff are students, so interaction of diners to servers is far more affable with good albeit brief conversations among diners and servers.

I don't eat in the dining room very often -- mostly because the whole process is too cumbersome. I sometimes order from the Cafe and would really love to have a Grab and Go! I also would like to be able to take food out of the dining room because I don't eat very much (and am vegetarian).

We love the lunches in the solarium...the atmosphere is so pleasant, the noise level is low so that even those with a hearing loss can hear, and best of all the food selection is tasty and creative. Service for so few people is also better.

It is a pleasure dining with my friends and neighbors in the dining room. The majority of the servers are pleasant, friendly and eager to please. The management has a huge job negotiating all of the arrangements and problems presented to them. I give them much credit for a job well done. The food is quite good, witth many ways to acheive a satisfactory selection from the mnu.

I am very satisfied with the dinning room most of the time. The staffs are doing a very good job. Sometimes we have to wait a little longer to be seated occasionally. I think the food has improved, more varieties and more tasty. I have no complains. I feel lucky to be a resident at this nice Village. I hope all the constructions will soon disappear that we all will be enjoying the new Lasell Village. Thank you for doing such good job and keep us happy.

Last evening's meal was very good - partially because of
the change of menu. I also enjoyed the fact that I had a
choice of entree's, which seldom happens since I don't eat sea food or pig products. The staff was super, pleasant and efficient. The only problem I see is that the fruit this season has not been up to par - it's been too tart most of the time. Last night the watermelon was the best of the 3 fruits I ordered - blueberries and strawberries are sour. I know the kitchen does not grow the fruit but am wondering whether there is any choice in vendor who might have a better selection. Perhaps it will improve with the coming days.
As far as the staff admin is concerned, in my experience Gemma has always been superb: she's efficient, responsive and has a lovely manner. The wait staff are
great and helpful. That is especially so when the D R
is not short staffed. Lastly, I particularly enjoy having
tablecloths and cloth napkins at the dinner table.
The only question I have is, is it possible to get salad
forks that actually pick up the pieces of salad? I have
salad forks that are excellent, so I know they exist.
Sometimes trying to get hold of a piece of lettuce with
the regular forks is an impossible task.

I look forward to having dinner in the dining room. The staff is always warm and friendly. Armando's menus are varied and the choices are wide and often interesting. I am finding the vegan and vegetarian offerings more and more appealing. The noise in the dining rooms, especially the small dining room has become, to me, a challenge. The wait staff are wonderful. They are respectful and efficient, although there are occasional glitches. On the whole, dinner in the dining room is a nice way to end the activities of the day.

We were treated with the utmost courtesy, Wait staff was attentive, but did not repeat our orders. My guest did not get the soup that was ordered, so waiter had to bring it when reminded. Other than that, the meal very good. The entree food was hot and served as ordered. The table needed to be moved closer to the wall as it was too close to other tables. The surrounding tables were noisy. But on the whole, the experience was pleasant, as it usually is in the dining room.

Food - especially coconut shrimp is excellent. As are the lamb chops.
Plated food needs sprigs of parsley or other greens - basil to enhance the appearance. Also foods needs fossil. Food needs to be spiced up a little bit currently is rather bland.
The baked potato continues to be under baked and very difficult to add butter to it and to make it appetizing. The fruit plate often is it does not have ripe food rather it’s rather it is not in season and
Tasteless. To cook for 200+ people is not an easy task and perhaps my criticism is a bit too harsh and should be turned down. The table settings are well done, and the tables look rather attractive. Perhaps some crackers and cheese could be put out in near the podium so that people who are waiting could nibble on some tidbits.
