We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Devonshire Hotel on New Year’s Day. We had walked a few miles to Grassington, so had worked up a good appetite and we were pleasantly surprised at the amount of choice available on the lunch menu. We eventually selected local pies and were not disappointed. Portion sizes were good, food was hot and the selection of ales and particularly gins was fabulous! We also chose to treat ourselves to desserts and can recommend the sticky toffee pud and the gin trifle! The service was also superb and our timing impeccable as a large party of children and families arrived just as we departed! We hope to visit again when next in the Dales. Thank you ☺️

Have eaten in The Devonshire previously, hence the return. We knew it would be busy -is t was, hence we booked. On arrival a lady was waiting with iPad to welcome diners and confirm bookings. Well organised. Food v quicky to come given how busy it was. Excellent quality meals - again. Ace service. A very well run pub during a busy event. Well done , hope the chefs and waitresses got a rest !

Another fab meal at The Devonshire, this time as part of an overnight stay. Unfortunately my wife was recovering from an operation that meant she couldn't eat 'normal' food. But the team looked after her and provided soup and mash. Great as always!

We went here to eat two nights on the trot. First night a Friday, was in the bar and whilst very atmospheric, it was a little noisy. The second night was in the restaurant, which was quieter but still a good atmosphere. Great location, great beers, lovely atmosphere and nice staff. Not forgetting a good choice of well cooked food!

A charming, traditional pub full of atmosphere. You always get a warm welcome from the lovely staff and the food is good, not fine dining but wholesome, well cooked and presented pub food. Highly recommend.

We loved it. Our room (5, Helen Alderson) was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The bar service was friendly and quick and the snug was a lovely place to relax by the fire. The food, both breakfast and evening meal were superb. I had to pop down to the bar after closing on Friday as the music was still on but it was turned down immediately with no issue. Staff are warm and friendly. We booked again for July. Simply exceptional.

We made a great choice coming here for Sunday roast . Lots of choice on menu , we had roast dinner, really generous sized portions . Excellent service and good atmosphere in the pub in the gorgeous village of Grassington .
