We were staying at The Devonshire so dining there was the obvious choice and we weren't disappointed. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The food was fantastic and the price very reasonable. It was extremely busy and, as is advised, booking is a must. You will be treated to Yorkshire hospitality at its best. Lovely evening, thank you.

Our meal at the Devonshire hotel was excellent, food was lovely and we did not have to wait very long between courses, the waiters were excellent, extremely friendly, the only thing I would say is that the meals are quite expensive but everything is now, we will be coming back on our next stay, thank you.

We loved it. Our room (5, Helen Alderson) was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The bar service was friendly and quick and the snug was a lovely place to relax by the fire. The food, both breakfast and evening meal were superb. I had to pop down to the bar after closing on Friday as the music was still on but it was turned down immediately with no issue. Staff are warm and friendly. We booked again for July. Simply exceptional.

The food was lovely and served quite quickly despite the restaurant being busy. I was pleased that there were several vegetarian choices. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The restaurant is part of the lively pub so can be a little noisy but the overall atmosphere is nice.
