We had an absolutely wonderful time at The Devonshire. The team was warm and accommodating from the moment we arrived, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
The staff, especially Deputy Manager Mads, were friendly and professional throughout the evening. It is clear they are committed to maintaining a high standard of service and creating an inviting atmosphere for everyone.
The Devonshire is a true gem in the heart of the Dales - the perfect blend of friendly service, cozy charm and a stunning location. We look forward to many more evenings here in the future - highly recommended!

This was our second time visiting the Devonshire and again it did not disappoint. Our pre-meal walk took longer than anticipated. I called the restaurant and without any fuss they put our booking time back slightly. When we did arrive, the service, food and drink were all superb. It was nice and relaxed and a great place to catch up with someone we hadn’t seen for a while. We will be returning next Easter.

The staff were brilliant, but the food was a disappointment, I had white bait to start with,and it was very overdone, had belly pork for main it was not very tender. Having said that my husband had the salmon prawn starter and it was good .

Had 3 at The Devonshire while staying in Grassington and each meal was very nice. The service was really good, nothing was too much trouble and the atmosphere was enjoyable and relaxing. I would certainly recommend The Devonshire for a place to eat or just a place to go and have a drink. There is a good variation on the meal menu and drinks to choose from.

Everything was excellent. An early mothers day treat. Wonderful welcome, brilliant service, great food. Perfect in every way. Only downside is parking, but that is not anything they can control. There are two disabled spots in the square, and six more in the main carpark which is a 5 to 10 minute walk. Don't let that put you off. It is also dog friendly in some parts, and dog free in others. The mums in our party loved everything.

What a wonderful establishment! We came to celebrate our daughter’s 15th birthday (she’s a massive All Creatures Great and Small fan) and couldn’t resist popping into the “Drovers” for dinner. From the moment we entered we were treated like royalty, the staff already knew it was a special occasion, seated at a brilliant table and made the whole experience one never to forget! The service was outstanding, friendly, fast and attentive. The food was outstanding too- delicious, sophisticated and yet managed to keep an air of rural charm and uniqueness.
Could not recommend more- a new family favourite and a core memory made for our family…even down to a chorus of happy birthday sung by the staff whilst presenting our daughter with candles and dessert!

We had a great meal here. Staff are friendly and efficient (our main server was James). On top of that, the restaurant is both cosy and comfortable so you want to sit a while and enjoy your meal. Good wines by the glass (bit on the expensive side though) and food choices are excellent. We had belly pork and it was crispy and well cooked. All sides good and a cheeseboard to finish. We've visited the area before and tried other places but we keep coming back here.

Had preordered a table and lovely staff managed to change our booking to an earlier time. Atmosphere was fantastic. Food was too much, had difficulty trying to eat it all, had to leave some. No room for desert, which was a shame as they looked lovely. Smaller main menu portion would be lovely then I could eat desert.

A pub we have wanted to visit and it didn’t disappoint at all. We stayed overnight on a rest and eat deal and this is such a good value for money experience. We stayed in the Skeldale Suite and the room, although slightly creaky was superb, very nicely presented and overlooking the square. We had a Sunday roast and the main courses were included in the package deal, we both decided to have the duo of meat, lovely food and plentiful. We had starter and desert of course as well, both very nice. Breakfast comes as part of the package too and Mrs Halls Yorkshire Breakfast was exceptional. We live 6hrs away so had a long weekend in Yorkshire and staying at The Devonshire Arms, “Drovers” was the highlight. We hope to go back one day.

Enjoyed our stay. Food in the restaurant really excellent. All staff extremely friendly ,helpful and professional. Nice quirky room. Floor bit creaky but to be expected in an old building. Pillows not very comfy. The bar/snug area could do with a good clean - window sill was a bit dusty, however the restaurant area was lovely. Good selection of ales. Three couples, four dogs for Sunday lunch - beer on top form ( Taylor’s Knowle Spring) and food excellent and plentiful. I had roast beef, very tender with an array of different veg and lashings of gravy. Others had the steak and ale pie and burger - clean plates all round! I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Devonshire in Grassington and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. Nestled in the heart of the village, the pub exudes historic charm and offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel right at home. Their approachable nature and prompt service truly enhanced our visit.
The menu offers a delightful selection of traditional pub fare. I particularly enjoyed the vegetarian risotto, which was both flavoursome and fairly portioned. The pub's interior is cozy and inviting, making it an ideal spot to relax after exploring the picturesque surroundings. The view over the village square adds to its quaint appeal.
While my experience was overwhelmingly positive, expanding the menu to include a few more vegetarian options could cater to a wider range of tastes. Additionally, ensuring that all areas maintain a fresh appearance with regular upkeep would enhance the overall ambiance.

We pre booked a table for a Monday lunchtime which turned out to be a good move on a busy day. The table manager and waitress were both friendly and took time to explain about a new East African dish available on the menu. We ordered this and it was fantastic, really tasty like a curry but without the hot chilli. Would definitely recommend both this dish and the Devonshire as a place to eat.

Right in the heart of All Creatures country, it was lovely to have a meal at the Devonshire/Drovers Arms in Grassington after spending a day in the area. I picked this place out as the menu was quite good for a vegan/gf. I had the risotto which was very nice. We also had our little dog Ted with us and it was an extremely dog friendly establishment. Overall a very pleasant experience.
