I've been coming to the Continental Café for years and they have never disappointed me, I've always had a wonderful experience and some of the best food I'll ever get anywhere. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, the staff are helpful and polite, the prices are more than reasonable (and worth it considering the generous portion sizes) and the food is always high quality and cooked perfectly. I will no doubt be back for more soon! Thanks heaps Beau!

Amazing food. I don't understand why there weren't lines around the block when we went (albeit on a Monday at lunch). I understand it has been around a while - but instead of chasing the latest "hot table" this is the place to be. Excellent and consistently good food in a lovely area of New Farm. I had the seafood risotto which is the best I've ever had. Definitely a must visit every time I come back to Brisbane.

The food as always was impeccably cooked & the service always done with a smile. I had The Confit pork belly w/ rhubarb and puy lentil ragout, veal glaze which for me was too heavy on the lentils which I thought weren’t particularly flavoursome. My partner had the Pan‑seared lamb's fry & bacon, désirée potato mash, roast tomato jus which he said was fabulous.
We will be back to enjoy more of what the Continental Cafe has to offer.

Ambience typified my impression of a European cafe experience--nice, with lots of conversations & groups. Aromas from the kitchen added to the experience.
I had the soy lime chicken breast. Found the soy reduction a bit too sweet & would've preferred veges instead of the risotto, but that's just me.

For lunch, my two friends and I all had the lamb salad which we found very tasty. However, while the lamb was very well cooked and quite succulent, it was full of gristle which made it extremely difficult to cut with the ordinary knives and unpleasant to chew.

The style of the restaurant reflects good sense and professionalism; always satisfying and enjoyable. There are apparently some regular diners; always a good sign. The menu is balanced and fully adequate showing originality and care; good chef; the meals in our experience on repeat visits have always been very well prepared. The service on this visit was slightly slow but overall on time, with a high level of attentiveness, friendliness and efficiency. Tremendous place.

Despite there only being a few customers, we found the environment uncomfortably noisy for our older ears. We would be happy to return if we were able to eat in a quieter area. Please let us know if we are able to request that.
We also asked whether it was possible to cater for our friend (who has a tick induced mammalian meat allergy) at a raclette meal. Someone was going to check that out and get back to us. Thank you. Christine Galbraith 0419 724 574
