Really enjoyed our lunch here. It was a Sunday lunch but their delivery company had had trouble delivering in the storm so they didn't have roasts but managed really well to adapt and we had a great steak & veg in a giant Yorkshire pud, which was delicious. Brilliant puds for everyone (there were four or us) and a really lovely bottle of Malbec.
Really friendly & helpful staff, lovely big log fire and really nice, comfy pub atmosphere! Also, great value for money!

Great service, very attentive and food came quickly- not to mentioned it was a generous and tasty portion of roast dinner. Had a longer wait to pay once more people arrived for the lunchtime rush but it added a buzzing atmosphere you find in the best kind of pubs, so very happy!

Hello, the roast lamb was delicious, the chicken equally so but much less meat. The puds were OK but seemed bought in rather than made in house - the crumble was nicer than the chocolate and orange sponge. Coffee pleasant but a jug of fresh milk for the table would be better than uht cartons which smacked of a budget hotel. Roasts were enough to get us back again and our waitress was sweet. Thanks hope helpful

The staff were lovely and the pub itself is very cosy inside, if a little cold!! But it's an older building so i guess that's to be expected.
However, the food was really underwhelming. I ordered roast pork and it was a pork medallion, which was over cooked. The crackling was more of a pork scratching crisp. the veg seemed like frozen veg including the potatoes which was just not very nice, and the gravy was more of a sauce. quite disappointed as id heard great things about the roast dinners here. it didn't feel like a roast at all. but the staff were lovely and i'd come back and try food in the week for that reason :)

Booked table for lunch at 1.15 but disappointed to find only a breakfast menu with kitchen closing at 1.00. No real issue with that in the present circumstances but the pub's website didn't mention it.
Breakfast was nevertheless good value and plentiful and able service very attentive.

Did everything they could but no one can change current restrictions. Shame miss the atmosphere, that’s what pubs are about.
