Situated under the leafy edge of the Cotswold Way, The Swan Hotel is a converted 17th century coaching inn that seamlessly blends modern comforts with traditional touches to create a unique hotel experience. Situated in the heart of Wotton-under-Edge, The Swan offers fifteen beautiful recently refurbished en-suite guest rooms, a light and airy restaurant offering freshly cooked food, and cosy bar and snug that retain a local feel. We’re a dog friendly hotel, and while the Cotswolds makes the perfect playground for your four-legged friends. As a member of CAMRA and with the Cask Marque Approval, we are proud to offer an extensive range of real ales from local breweries. We have a newsagents within the hotel where our guests can purchase their daily papers as well as magazines from our excellent team of friendly staff.

The whole experience was very pleasant, hard to find anything to criticise. It would have been nice if there had been gluten free Yorkshire puddings with gluten-free Sunday roast meal, but generally everything was very well done and we look forward to visiting again.

Very good Sunday lunch and was lovely as a central meeting point. The only one issue we had is that our elderly grandad took a tumble as he didn’t see the step by the toilets, it does have yellow and black lines but is somewhat faded.

We had a lovely meal. Everything was spot on. The only comment from two of our group was they wished there was more meat and less vegetables. There were a lot of vegetables which we were unable to finish. The nut roast was superb.

Just to say that the chap who was serving seemed to be on his own for a very busy lunch service. He did absolute wonders serving everyone, but he probably could have done with someone to help him. There may have been unexpected staff sickness but I really felt for him as he was rushed off his feet.

Been here a few times in the week but this was our first Sunday Lunch. It was one of the best roasts we have ever had. Only gripe is I waited about half an hour for a coffee that I ordered in the restaurant to be served in the bar and despite several requests it finally turned up. However, we will definitely be back

Fantastic Sunday meal (not “just” roasts) in terms of portion size, but also quality.
We had an infant and child in the part of 6 and the staff couldn’t have done more to accommodate them from suitable crockery to cutlery and also tolerated the infants insistence to explore the restaurant with his recently acquired mobility!!

No one around when we arrived. Booked online requested specific table as we had Army friends visiting us and Wottin. On arrival our table was occupied and no other one with reserved on it.. Pointed this out to very young barman who didn't have a clue and kept saying well you can sit there or there pointing to other ones, this was not the point as I had asked specifically for one that the lady friend who is disabled could sit easily. Some Portions were rather on the small side, There was no atmosphere very very quiet. Needed some nice back ground music. Sorry but rather disappointed.
