We brought our cousin who had never been before, we had a wonderful time! Service and the food was excellent ! We loved the bread basket and the gnocchi! The asparagus was cooked perfectly! Ambiance is warm and inviting! Love your restaurant! Staff was friendly ( as usual) Gumbo was delicious too! Actually everything was!

This is our FAVORITE dinner spot. D and J's people are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable; the exact kind of people you'd like to spend a couple of hours with. The food is top notch. The food was delicious, and we appreciated getting a phone call to let us know we could come a earlier than our 830Pm reservation since it was clearing out faster than you expected, only bad thing i could say is we looked at the menu beforehand online and picked out meals were we excited to try but the menu was different when we got to the restaurant.

Upon walking in, it felt like home! The dining room was very cozy! It had some historical pieces and yet modern comforts. Jenny greeted us with a big smile! As our table of 7 was reviewing the menu, i just kept on hearing "oh, oh, oh". Many of us settled on the family style menu for the night in order to try different options and that did not fail! The food triggered so many happy faces, we still talk about it back here in Chicago. There was not one thing we were disappointed about. The lemon chardonnay butter was aww so good on many dishes! I definitely felt like I was back in New Orleans! The history Jenny told us her and Dick went through was unbelievable, but it showed perseverance and their love of food showed it!

We just got back from Gulfport, Mississippi and the catfish at Dick & Jenny's took us right back. Just as delicious and fresh tasting as Mississippi. We went there for restaurant week but now we will be regulars.
