A nice pub we found whilst waiting for our national express coach. Just a 10 min walk from park and ride or a 5 min free bus ride.

1st visit, and very impressed! Staff very friendly, food great, with some imaginative specials. It was quite cold in the bar, dispite the lovely real open fire, but it was a very cold day, and we understand the importance of ventilation! Looking forward to returning!

Nice welcome at lunchtime for a noon booking, and the barman/waiter was very helpful. We had the meat & prawn platter shared between three people and our granddaughter had the kids fish finger meal which was very basic, just 3 fish fingers and a few chips. The meat on the platter, steak and chicken was good quality good and there was ample chips and salad. We never find it easy shelling prawns but these proved more difficult than most. Overall the cost was extremely reasonable at £61 for the food and 6 drinks (3 alcoholic, 3 soft). The biggest issue was the piped music (Heart Radio) was so loud you could hardly hear yourself talk.

Really fabulous service from the Romanian chef/owner/waiter - he did everything and was super-friendly and welcoming without being over the top. My daughter said her bangers and mash were the best she'd ever tasted.
We were there on a Monday night so the pub was pretty much empty, therefore not much atmosphere, but that was noone's fault.
We had a fun time!

I loved my food - it was great having a selection of gluten free options, and finding out that the staff understood the diet made it easier to relax and enjoy my meal, which was delicious. My husband, however, found his less to his taste and didn’t manage to finish it. I expect we’ll be back, but hope my husband will chose more wisely!

Perhaps a few extra staff would help.
Food was good but a little on the cool side.
French mustard , tartar sauce, brown sauce maybe something to put on the shopping list.

Limited menu but food was reasonable. Some desserts were unavailable. No atmosphere and the whole place needs a refresh/redecorating to make it more welcoming.
