I am a wheelchair user and My Husband is always wary of a carvery. Thinking he has to get 2 plates of food. However our waitress was so helpful and took my plate and after checking my preferences, filled my plate with delicious food. Thank you so much!! Perfect!!

Overall we enjoyed our carvery with you on Sunday, the carvery itself was lovely, just a couple of observations, the pigs in blankets could have been a bit crispier and the veggie option that my friend had was a bit curried, and she felt didn’t really go with a roast. We will defiantly come back though.

Booked a table on line. Table all ready for us when we arrived. It also had a river view which was great. Service was excellent which, I must admit, is usually the case. Food prepared to order so was fresh and hot. Disabled parking nearby is a big help and the fact that the Riverside Bar and Kitchen is easily accessible and on one level is a big bonus. We like eating here!

The service and friendly staff were great. Sadly on a midweek lunchtime in November the restaurant was almost empty but as a group of 4 celebrating a big birthday, it didn't matter too much to us. My friend did mention that her medium rare steak was a bit too medium, and I would say that there could have been a few more vegetables in the chicken ceasar salad than just lettuce. It was lovely just a bit samey. Not a cheap place to eat but quite large portions which make up for that. We had a great time.

We had a family lunch (8 adults) with both sets of grandparents and two small children, so quite a big group to look after. In all respects the service was excellent, everyone was friendly and helpful, and the food was prompt and very much enjoyed by all. We will certainly come again. Many thanks!

Meal was good value and staff very polite and attentive Prawn cocktail was ok but needed a bit more sauce and was standard fare Main course was excellent and more than enough and hard to improve but maybe a slightly bigger plate so room to eat off as fully loaded but accept difficulty with wastage Xmas pud ok and no issue All only meant as constructive as good value and excellent service and would recommend

Pigs in blankets were not very nice & cauliflower cheese was late arriving & was scorching hot so we didn't really eat it. It was lovely until groups started arriving which were loud & with the doors opening & shutting it got a bit chilly so we missed out on dessert. We had a nice meal with family. The restaurant is beautifully situated with lovely views of the waterfront. Food was nice, but not amazing. One of the main things that let it down was the side salads - basically some limp lettuce. Portions of chips were on the small side. Presentation was not excellent but food tasted good. Service was also quite slow, but staff were friendly and polite.

Friendly waitress, very quick service. Experienced chef carving meat. Meat was succulent and plentiful. Limited selection of veg and not as child friendly as could have been in the selection. Sat at table with 2 benches which could not be moved but tables too narrow in middle so had to reconfigure to get kids close enough to table to eat - shame as I booked this 3 months ago!

The new menu is great. Really good choice and what each of us had was really good and priced reasonably. However the kids' menu and adults desert were really overpriced. The kids' menu food was really good too but it was a bit overpriced at 9.95 for a drink and main with 3.50 extra for desert though the ice cream did taste good. We had the brownies for desert- the ice cream that came with it was good but the brownie itself was tiny and you'd expect better for £8.50

I had Chicken Scallopini for lunch although ate it rather late at 2pm because my guests arrived late as they could not find the Riverside restaurant. The chicken was very hard as if it had already been cooked then warmed up again. I realise I could have returned it back to the kitchen. I am a regular at this restaurant as a member of the deaf community during their coffee mornings.

Falafel too oily, tzaziki dip not authentic ie not yoghurt and no cucumber. Charged more than advertised on menu downloaded. Waitress told me of 2 soups one of which I could not eat due to IBS. I requested the second one & was told they could not serve that one until other one was finished. So why bother telling me about both?

Ok probably wouldn’t go back. Food was ok but overpriced! No atmosphere at all. Maybe better in the summer when you can sit outside? But wouldn’t choose to go back it was convenient for the theatre that’s about all.
