The CIT Restaurant is an industry-standard facility that provides a simulated work environment for our hospitality and culinary students. It gives them the opportunity to refine their skills under the guidance of our expert teachers.
The CIT Restaurant offers delicious quality lunches and dinners during the semester. It’s the perfect place to celebrate your next special occasion or corporate function.
Every guest gives our students the opportunity to develop the essential industry skills they need to graduate.

Thank you for our lovely dinner. It was a nice surprise to have the bonbon on the table to add a touch of christmas - very unexpected. We look forward to rebooking again in 2024. The food was restaurant quality. The presentation and taste all of high quality. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The service provided was friendly and welcoming and the ambience was nice and peaceful. All the very best. Thank you.

Loved our waitress Lyndsey, so helpful and extremely pleasant. Best steak I have eaten in 45 years! The whole meal was delicious, price is amazing. Have eaten at the restaurant each semester, twice last one and it just gets better each time. Well done to each and everyone of the students and professional teachers.

First time for us. The service was first class. Food was great. Maybe missed a trick with the dinner roles, as they were yummy but could have been outstanding if they were warmed before serving.

Waiters very professional and friendly. Food was very good. Six of us were seated at a very large table for six and we were so far away from each other it was hard to hear what some others were saying. However, we enjoyed it all and will be back.

This was our first time at the CIT restaurant and I'm already looking forward to another evening when we can get a booking though this time I might just book a romantic dinner for two.
We really enjoyed the creative menu but it would have been helpful if we'd been able to adjust some dishes to cater for the less adventurous eaters, in our case teen-agers who have aged out of kids menus and eat a wide range of food but needed some extra fillers.
For the first part of the meal the speaker above us was so loud we couldn't have a cross table conversation.
The service was a bit mixed as we ended up having to fill out own glasses.
The food was well presented and prepared with the exception of the honeycomb which hadn't hit the right temperature and was hard and sticky, and the rhubarb strands were a little long and needed more flavour to balance the Panna Cotta. These are very minor comments compared with the overall meal. The chicken breast was the best I've had in years with excellent texture and well balanced flavour. It was a real surprise and if we get the chance to order again it will be hard not to choose the chicken!

I could not fault the entree or main. The dessert was not as described on the menu as the menu advised "Ginger and carrot bread – carrot ice-cream – candied pecans – carrot jus". There was not carrot jus it was a carrot and the carrot ice cream was not ice cream. It was frozen so a sorbet would have been more appropriate as you could not cut the frozen ice cream with a spoon or the aid of a knife. But overall a great experience and food was lovely and you cannot beat the value for money. Thanks chefs and staff

Everything was great! I’ve marked down for service a little… and consider for an educational event it was great. Wait staff could speak louder and more confidently. Introduce themselves, state fish of the day, offer to explain the menu. Loved it!

The food was incredible - amazing value for money. The ambience was fine, but only so much you can do with the space. The service was very good, but I had to ask for my water to be refilled twice. (maybe put a jug on the table? I probably drink more water than most!).

Some vegetables with the main course would be great. Side orders that can be ordered and paid for could be an option?
The lovely young waitperson we had was friendly but may need a some support to be a little more focused and attentive.
However, we understand the concept and over the years it has been delightful to see them grow in confidence and competence. Keep up the great work. We will continue to support this training opportunity. Love it!

Overall it was a most enjoyable experience. Front of house staff were very cheery & welcoming. Wait staff were well presented and attentive. Menu was varied and catered well to many sensitivities. Food presentation was very professional and tasty. Ambience was excellent.
Only issue was the delay in receiving our drinks as we had to attract staff attention after an inordinate wait to follow up our order.
Meeting the back of house team to discuss the meal & techniques was a welcome treat.

My husband and I were given a window table which allowed us a better view of the Lake and the opposite car park. We were happy sitting there and admired the decorated table on our arrival. We were going to have only two courses but ended up having 3, and I am glad we did, as the deserts were excellent - we shared.
I had the grilled prawns which were undercooked, and messy, but the condiments were good. Both hubby and I had the sirloin steak which was somewhat cool when the arrived at the table. Also there was no steak knives. The waitress asked us if we wanted them. Generally once steak has been ordered the waitstaff change over the knives.
The wines were good and complimented the food, and the servers were very pleasant and enjoyed talking with us.
All in all a very pleasant evening. We will try and come again next year.

was a lovely meal, small portions but nice not to have to cook. The bar service for wine and coffee needed our table to always go up and ask for a drink. So the beverage service was lacking but the actual table service order and delivery was spot on.

one member of the party is celiac and during ordering the courses, he assumed all components of the meal would be GF as stated on the menu. this was not the case which left the guest a little concerned . extra care needs to be taken.

First n8ght of the new semester and really impressed. Food was great, calamari a little tough though. Presentation good, service impeccable. Only complaint would be the table was by the window in direct line of the sun. It got very warm and bright. This was recognised by the senior manager who advised they would be rearranging the tables. All in all, very good and incredible value. Will be back for next terms menu!

Was looking forward to this experience. However, unfortunately the main course was less than a normal entree size and was about 3 mouthfuls of food. We have been previously and enjoyed the experience. Nice wait staff learning to give the correct wines to the ones we ordered, and the correct food to the right person. Hopefully things will improve.
