Good day,
Not a very good arrival experience as upon arrival the restaurant had no record of the reservation on their side.
Quite an embarressment since the booking reservation was for our Managing Director, CEO and clients.

You should serve meat only!
Your side dishes are just tasteless. Also, watch out for guest with poor behaviour destroying other gusts well being!

Restaurant was very busy and very noisy - we were a group of only 6 and could most of the time not hear each other. Was also extremely hot. Due to big groups we waited a long time for our food but it was not a big issue. Food was excellent as always.

This was our first visit to Cattle Baron Tyger Waterfront. We were truly pleased with our overall experience. Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed & directed to a secluded area (actually inside the wine cellar) . We figured we must've been seated there since we were a larger group, however we were entirely thrilled!
The service was great. Our server for the night was friendly and efficient. We had the Monday Night Burger special and it did not disappoint! We were satisfied and will definitely be back for another taste of Cattle Baron!

Everything was fantastic. Leaves a big impression when the manager / hostess comes to the table and welcomes you, that was nice. Like that the waiter doesn't come to ask is everything all right too much but was always on hand when a plate is empty to take away. That was good. The only reason I marked overall experience 9 out of 10 was because a waiter went out to the deck and whilst opening the sliding door, he spilled a lot of fluids which fell from a tray he was holding and it splattered next to our table and onto our table edge and also my leather handbag right beside my chair. I was not very happy with that, but I understand accidents happen, although he might have overestimated the weight of the tray of beverages he carried and then clumsily tried opening the sliding door, which although still an accident, could have been avoided. But other than that experience, very happy, thank you.

Overall experience was very delightful! We found the lighting to be a little harsh, a softer ambiance (softer lighting) would have made it a little more enjoyable. Overall, very satisfied and the meal was exceptional. Our waitress was also lovely, friendly, helpful and professional. It was a great experience!

when food was order chip fryer where out of order we had to choice between mash or bake potato. We order steak 2 x 300g and 1 400g when the waitress gave our food she gave the 400g to the person who order a 300g. The one steak was tuff. We always had to look for the waitress to help us.

Presentation of food not what it use to be, we being going to Cattle Baron for at least +10 years. Sad looking plates of food, quality of food also not what it use to be.
Don't know if we had an inexperienced waiter but she definitely need more training. When putting our drinks down, she lean over us * over peoples drinks to put drinks down. We had to call can looked for her to order. We waited a VERY long time for our food to arrive. There was not a lot of people there. I ordered the baked cheesecake but it did not look nor takes like a baked cheesecake more like the normal fridge made one.
Prices of the food and drinks is not worth what you receive. R 44.00 for a bottle of still water??? Really ???
Don't think we will ever return, we have friends that also had a bad experience and they also said they will not go back.
HUGE improvements have to be done if you want to survive

Overall experience was amazing. Convenient booking online. I did not have to phone to confirm my booking. Table was nicely set up and the food was amazing. The specials was worth the money and each dish was delicious. Everyone who joined complimented the food and enjoyed the afternoon. It is difficult to find venues that is "Halaal friendly". Booked a dinner, knowing that usually always good food and service. Yet, this time, we were mistaken.
Booked via Table agent (no option of where would like to be seated), when we arrived we were placed on the veranda which had 2 heaters for the whole space.
We asked the manager if we could please be seated else where as it is freezing and unpleasant to be seated there. They offered a table in the mean time and requested we wait 20-25mins until another seat opened. We happily agreed.
While we waited for another table, a family of 4, who arrived 20mins after us - requested to be moved - manager requested that they give him 1 sec and he will try and figure something out and within the sec they got a new table.
We then followed up on whether there is a table open for us, after witnessing 4 tables leave in those 20min.
He told us that he is trying to seat all the guests arriving, it’s really busy (us having waited already 50mins at this point) and “we HAD a seat” was his response. He never once came to discuss the plan or that we would have to wait long or anything. We had asked 2 waiters to call him over and he just ignored us.
Just disgusted by the service from management!!
