Won't be eating there again
My husband ordered a club sandwich it was on white bread not toasted, no butter on bread, I had beef lasagne it was microwaved had cold spots was covered in to much cheese, chips were just warm

We booked our meal for 9 people, although there were only 8 of us because 1 person was poorly, we had opted for the Christmas menu, the food was delicious and everybody enjoyed it. The only thing missing and would of been nice was to have a set table with it being the festive season.
The staff were really nice and polite, we would certainly use the ring o bells again in the future.

It was such a shame because we usually go down here for food and drinks all the time. we booked for food and drinks to get pie on national pie day, was told that the deal is off, which was fine, but then there was a massive list of things that was out, which is a bit weird for only a Wednesday. We decided on what we wanted, went to the bar and what we wanted for the second time was out of stock, all veggie stuff was gone apart from some starters and a mushroom dish, we politely told the bar person that we will just have the drinks and get food elsewhere, and then a manager came and quizzed us and asked very bluntly why we didn’t want to eat, even though we wasn’t that bothered. Very disappointed really.

Firstly, this is a very nice attractive pub. There is only street parking outside which is a bit of an issue but we did park ok. Staff very friendly and welcoming and made a good impression. Good efficient bar service. Ordering food wasn’t that easy …we visited the pub because the menu looked nice….however there were numerous dishes unavailable …..so all four of us actually ordered something different to what we really wanted …the food we received was ok ……just not what we really wanted which was a bit disappointing ….

I booked the table via Table Agent but I was called about a problem the kitchen was experiencing and asked if we could eat later due to an unforeseen circumstance in the kitchen. We were constantly updated about the issues, however did feel a bit bad as I had family visiting.

The staff go above and beyond any service... helpful... friendly.... nothing too much trouble... as a family we took our mum in for her first outing from a care home in nearly 12months... they made it possible... its always had a good reputation and pleased it maintains it... New Manager... very friendly and approachable.. made mums visit possible... being in a wheelchair.... food... service... staff... all excellent

When we arrived at the ring o bells we were informed that half the menu wasn’t available due to a fault with a fan and that we should of been advised of this before we arrived. Then half the meals came out and they obviously forgot two of the tables meals. These took a further 15 minutes to come out. In this time the others at the table had eaten as their food was going cold. Everything felt rushed. The poor girl who served us seemed to be doing everything and was rushed off her feet - can’t fault her, she was so apologetic when she realised the meals where missing. Very expensive for what we got if I’m honest.

Food wasn’t hot on arrival, beef burgers were dry and inconsistently cooked (one was ok, one rare, and one overcooked but all cold?). We’ve come a few times and the food has always just fallen short of expectation, which is a shame as the establishment and its staff is good. Hoping the new menu is a step in the right direction.

The staff had booked in a large Funeral party and as a result the pub was full. They did not communicate this Table Agent and my confirmed booking was rejected when I arrived. To make matters worse a group just ahead, who’s booked was done direct with the pub, were also turned away (two of the four were elderly wheelchair users). The member of staff simply did not care.

Fantastic night. Will definitely visit again. You must NOT get rid of the juke box. It really made the night. We put £8 into it and it was worth every penny. Staff were more than accommodating. Really made it a more relaxed atmosphere with the personal touch.

And the food was out of this world all homemade and fresh
